in like 1998 I saw dee dee and barbara ramone play at the mason jar in phoenix arizona. they played friday and saturday night. each night there was maybe 30 people there. I was so pissed off and embarrased that phoenix did not know enough to come out by the thousands to see him play!!! dee dee rocked both nights as if there were thousands in the crowd. one night after his gig i told him how much i dug him as he kicked back in a little side room by the stage. I will never forget it.
@scumgod13 The comment was to @randomtree7 who was criticising Chris' singing voice as not a punk voice... when he was selected specifically by the godfather of punk to be in his band as a singer and guitar player. I made the comment a couple of years ago when you couldn't use the @ symbol to tag somebody. I have a personal attachment to this tour, since I was the guitar tech / bass tech / drum tech / driver / roadie, so all my reactions to negative comments will be full of ire! RIP DeeDee! Thx
I was the roadie / van driver on this tour and I can state categorically that Dee Dee was stoned 100% of the time! It made him relatively gentle for the most part, though.
@VinzCaputo estoy de acuerdo contigo!! las mejores canciones de los ramones eran de Dee Dee... Cj tambien es muy bueno y aporto mucho tambien :) pero DD era el maestro :)
Christian Martucci auditioned for Slash's touring rhythm guitar spot, but he ended up in 2nd place. The spot went to Frank Sidoris former guitarist of the Cab. ( great band, different genre). IMO, I think it would have been better if Christian was touring with Slash. He is more of a rocker than Frank and it would have been better. Slash is a great musician but its kind of a wrong move to make the rhythm guitarist of a hard rock band someone from the Cab.
jjajajajaja mejor que eliminas tu mensaje, no as conseguido decir nada coerente... Cuando dejo los ramones seguia escribiendo la mayoria de caciones para los ramones.. de echo las mejores caciones de los ramones eran de dee dee... lee, informate antes de reirte de Dee Dee Ramone.. sabes quie era el idolo de C.J??? Adivina???
