I've seen people omit parts of patterns but never add to them. Love that! You are incredible the way you can take out things and add your own to make each pattern fit your grandma's memories. Just beautiful! I stitched Blackbird Designs 'My Heart Can Rest' for my grandmother on my mom's side, and I put her birth year and the city she was born (1919 Boston MA) on it. What a great feeling when I finished it.

You just keep enabling… just when I think I am making some progress, nope. I started doing the samplers for my grandmothers who are no longer with us. When I have gone with my mother on Memorial Day to go to graves on that side of the family, we go to Butterfield graves in the Herriman cemetery.
