Came out good, that bike was a little hoot to ride, looking forward to the next bike review. Watch this channel kiddies somethin real good is coming...
I love the flickability of my Ninja 300. If you put some better tires on the bike, like I've done with mine, cornering is absolutely awesome with this bike. Great review!
Nice review. We're actually starting to see quite a few of these little bikes (300 and smaller) here in Texas. Surprising, considering that most sportbikers start with an R1 or Hayabusa here. LOL.
If I get one of these, my dad and I can take bike trips together in our own bikes. It looks lightweight too. Im sold, thanks for sharing your experience
Theis Pedersen I was also contemplating on that but got the z300 instead. Got the 2018 model on Tuesday, should get it back on Sunday cos it still needs to be connected and what not. Hasn’t been driven yet
The ninja 300 is definitely the best Lams bike out there imo, love the look of the z class bikes so the z300 would be pretty darn sweet for a learner, especially if it's cheaper than the ninja. You're right about changing the pipe though, stock exhaust looks terrible!!
I've never been on an er6L, might have to check it out. Yep my gf is learning to ride the ninja 300. I started teaching her on a kymco 125 & it was really slow going but on the ninja 300 she's smashing it. Amazing what a good bike can do for a learner.
lol moist ;) Great video and review. So do you tell the dealer you want to do a review video for youtube or do you act like you're actually going to buy it?
regulardan if keeping up in the pack wasn't your thing then yes this will do nicely in the twists but yeah the elephant in the room is the lack of power but I can't really complain about it
I don't understand their thinking putting a slipper clutch on to a 300cc bike?? It is a nice little bike, that would be great for getting around town and as a city commuter so is there really a need for a slipper clutch?? I do like how they have kept it basically the same as the other bikes for ease of mod placement. Nice to see another option for the learning riders or those that want a smaller bike. Stay safe out there Mate!!
Andy Pandy Motovlogs LOL - I hired a tiny little car for 2 days in London last year... it was like a lawn mower with a roof, about 800cc - and it had traction control and sport mode :-/
that yamaha dealer is where i bought my first bile - xvs650. i watched this vid when you released, but didn't leave a comment - need to get better at that part. thanks for the sub man. see you in a few weeks!
Yeah, there's a Honda dealer opening up right next to the Kawasaki dealer near me so it should be easier to compare. Saves me driving half way across Adelaide to look
Went to the Kawasaki Dealership at Gepps X and they wouldn't let a learner ride their bikes because of "insurance reasons" what a load of rubbish. Yet, when Bills was closer to the city, they were all happy with learners test riding a bike for learners lol. Now that Honda has moved next to Kawasaki, is their range still stocked up pretty good? I suppose i could go for a trip down the road myself lol
b Rootles I ended up going to the Honda dealer at St Mary's. The one at gepps wanted to charge me $1300 extra for the same bike and tried telling me it was a good deal and wouldn't listen when I tried to get them to do the same deal at the others
that yamaha dealer is shit! i was gonna get the fz6r from their and the sales person tried to rip me off 6 grand by upping the sale price for 10k to 16k after i signed the paperwork, the head manager of yamaha finance discovered this and gave me a call telling me he blocked the application and is calling the dealers manager, next thing i hear the sales person got the sac
shit hey? Yeah I have only had a good experience from the shop across the road there hey the guys on that side of the street I've never had a good experience
Depends where you go to. I live right near Sydney, and I was able to take a bike out for a test ride by myself. I had to stick to a preapproved route though, and was time limited
Slippers probly just looks suspicious. I test rode a Gixxer 7fiddy from a dealership just around the corner from there & they let me do whatever I wanted. I came back 45 minutes later. That same dealership let a mate of mine take a Busa away overnight. But most times I've test ridden bikes from Teammoto which is affiliated with the same dealership in this video they have automatically given me a babysitter to ride with.
Seriuously guys, I have owned this machine and I regreted it every day.. The sound it makes, Jesus Christ it sounded like a lawn mower. It's too small and it looks like rather childish. I would definitely recommend you to buy the Z800e instead, which you may use with the A2 restrictions in Europe. I have gotten rid of this and will be buying my Z800e in a week.
In Australia you are restricted to a bike less than 650cc and/or less than 150kw/tonne for the first year of riding (in Qld at least, the laws in other states have changed) for a first bike to get you riding and learn the skills it's good enough
+NewMC Basically you wanted an inline 4 big bike, then why did you get a Z300? These bikes are for people who don't need to be loud and obnoxious, don't need to go 200 km/h and they want good gas mileage. If you can afford bigger bikes, why the hell do you buy smaller bikes?
you cant really compare a Z300 to a Z800e tho.. theres a huge difference between them and they offer different characteristics to suit different riders.
That stock pipe looks just like the one I put in the bin tonight ;) Think I've mentioned it before Jimmy but there's something up with your audio - high pitch noise throughout. That lead rider needs to learn better lines in corners, especially at 1:57 where he enters the death zone and then every corner after that enters the corners tight and not wide. I'd buy this if I had to get a LAMS bike again
***** Oh yeah I would've been enjoying the ride too. Just that I noticed him a lot while watching :) I am surprised no one else mentions the high pitched audio sound. It's def not at my end only - I hear it on all devices and it's only there when your camera footage is showing and not during intro, outro etc.
sjbali the 250cc is based off the old Ninja 250's isnt it? Surely the 300's should be coming in soon though wouldnt they? Whats next then on the sjbali channel bike wise? ;)
nope the Z250 is exactly the same as the Ninja 250 FI (2013 onwards) Same as the Z300/Ninja300 'FI as in fuel injected'. No Ninja 300 /Z300 for the indo market at the moment... OH AND there will be an upgrade alright for sjbali ;)
sjbali Hahaha, looking forward to it ;) There might be an upgrade for myself later this year too ;) Might even be something a little less conventional compared to other vloggers :P
Can't wait to get one. Not a beginner and ridden for quite some time.. but I prefer a bike with nice torque and not making me kill myself on my A2 license. So this one looks fun in all ways w a new exhaust
Hi, i want to ask 1 thing. how did you find the suspension which i know is very soft the front fork. i tested while i hop on on the store yesterday but i felt was way to soft. how did you find them on bumps?
masterrk7 the ninja 300 has fairings and clip on handlebars, it is more inline with a supersport riding positron. The Z300 has no fairings and traditional handlebars with an upright seating position. It is really a personal choice on what you buy but my advise is to ride both bikes back to back and that way you can work out which one suits you the best for what you want your bike to do. Hope this helps man good luck.
Top video mate.
Nice to see Australian contents on you tube.
Keep up the good work mate
Came out good, that bike was a little hoot to ride, looking forward to the next bike review. Watch this channel kiddies somethin real good is coming...
Yeah came together nicely gonna work on that one soon
4:45 LOL dafaq
hahahah
tastyhamsandwhich hahaha you get it
AspieThinker lol
+AspieThinker Made me cry laughing, Slippery didn't even laugh though :(
It wasn't nice on headphones
I love the flickability of my Ninja 300. If you put some better tires on the bike, like I've done with mine, cornering is absolutely awesome with this bike. Great review!
Wanderlust8760 yeah the pirelli roso's? I loved how it tipped so easily hey
***** Nope, I've got the Michelin Pilot Street Radial tires. They are awesome even when it's really wet on the road.
Great editing and review! That looked like fun!
WheelsNotHeels it was spur of the moment and yes very fun thanks for watching
Nice review. We're actually starting to see quite a few of these little bikes (300 and smaller) here in Texas. Surprising, considering that most sportbikers start with an R1 or Hayabusa here. LOL.
Tim Kreitz Adventures really? mmmk. would have thought a 300 would be too small for texas but hey
I'd prefer this over a Ninja 300 anyday. Naked all the way
Chris Gerrey hell yeah man awesome
Chris Gerrey Nudity is underated.
If I get one of these, my dad and I can take bike trips together in our own bikes. It looks lightweight too. Im sold, thanks for sharing your experience
Looks like that would have been my perfect starter bike. Looks awesome.
AspieThinker I reckon hey better than that virago you had
This or a KTM Duke 390 for a learner bike?
Theis Pedersen I was also contemplating on that but got the z300 instead. Got the 2018 model on Tuesday, should get it back on Sunday cos it still needs to be connected and what not. Hasn’t been driven yet
The ninja 300 is definitely the best Lams bike out there imo, love the look of the z class bikes so the z300 would be pretty darn sweet for a learner, especially if it's cheaper than the ninja. You're right about changing the pipe though, stock exhaust looks terrible!!
I rode an er6L and that was high up there too. Yeah I would be happy chucking the mrs on this bike when she learns to ride
I've never been on an er6L, might have to check it out. Yep my gf is learning to ride the ninja 300. I started teaching her on a kymco 125 & it was really slow going but on the ninja 300 she's smashing it. Amazing what a good bike can do for a learner.
is the ninja 300 learners approved in qld, brisbane
Yes it is
lol moist ;) Great video and review.
So do you tell the dealer you want to do a review video for youtube or do you act like you're actually going to buy it?
trade secrets my padwan i'll tell you next time I see you
Haha no worries my master
Nice, I'd tour Europe on that thing. Small bikes are underated as long as you stick to the B-roads, which is where you should be riding anyway!
shingnosis if you did you would be my hero
sjbali you might like this bro :). Nice vid slippers I lol'ed at that guy supermanning the air on his traily. Styling reminds me of the Z800.
the z250/300 has inherited all looks from the z800 ;)
oh and just a side note you can fit a 160 rear tire on the original rim ;)
sjbali asthetically that would look so much better. Have you done it?
toddyballer21
tire is due in about a week or two and new ones are already ordered, will definitely post a photo up on my page !
Sweet man! Do you find it affects the performance in handling at all?
looks like a good bit of fun. time for the extended test ride out to the twisties?
regulardan if keeping up in the pack wasn't your thing then yes this will do nicely in the twists but yeah the elephant in the room is the lack of power but I can't really complain about it

Andy Pandy Motovlogs well its technology making its was down from the high end so guess well have to get used to seeing it
I know, same as cars coming out with paddle shifters when there really isn't a need for them. Embrace the change!! :-) Cheers mate
dunno, went in a golf gti with a dsg box and paddle shift and man it was good
Andy Pandy Motovlogs LOL - I hired a tiny little car for 2 days in London last year... it was like a lawn mower with a roof, about 800cc - and it had traction control and sport mode :-/
that yamaha dealer is where i bought my first bile - xvs650. i watched this vid when you released, but didn't leave a comment - need to get better at that part. thanks for the sub man. see you in a few weeks!
shineesideup no worries at all man see you then
Nice review mate, good wee bike. Honda have brought out 300's in the CBR and CB F models too, wonder how they would compare?
It would be awesome to do a direct comparraasion
Was that moss street?
Great review mate. I'm getting a motorcycle this month. I'm thinking the Z300 or the MT-03/R3. Which do you recommend?
Great review. Not so great channel managing.
I really love that bike naked
shadetree surgeon you like anything so long as its naked
Wow I didn't even realise they had z300's! Been looking at the z1000 as my next bike haha
unFaZ6d Perth yeah man its just been released. Which Z thou?
I like the z1000. i don't like the look of the new ones but the older ones are awesome
What are your thoughts on a tall person 6ft or so riding one? would the legs be cramped?
i'm 6ft, not cramped at all
I'm only 5'10 but found it very comfortable.
Ze German not cramped at all hey had nice leg position
I'm from Brazil and waited this Motorcycle here in my country ! Where is make this video ? Thanks !
This was in Australia. Hope you get it soon I rekkon it would work a treat
I have to admit, it does have a nice look, but too quiet. I see the Yamaha put out an R3, which also has nice lines. Ride safe mate.
vac0002 yeah I wouldn't mind giving that one a go
how about a ducati monster 659
Great video! I have a question for you though. Is this a good mc for beginners? :)
I would say yes
Great Ride/ Review &
I agree that is good looking design !!!
👍📹
Dracati Ducati yeah I like how it kept in line with the Z series
awesome, but i didn't like those mirrors
Daniel Melo have to agree there, could have done better
Yeah moss street bike city
Nothing wrong with a tard
Would you recommended this bike with the ABS or without the ABS?
Bas Wongprachan tough one to call I couldn't say for sure
Tossing up between one of these and something from Honda, maybe a 300F
Haven't tried the hondas yet. All personal preference really
Yeah, there's a Honda dealer opening up right next to the Kawasaki dealer near me so it should be easier to compare. Saves me driving half way across Adelaide to look
For sure

where are you riding? looks familiar
Springwood
Nekked Ninja, I approve.
Maxbooze as do I it was a nice one give it a go
Nice dashboard.
Ahhh it's niiice
It is actually. 😀👍
whats a good starter bike
This would be
Look good
I just wish team Moto slacks creek would take a different route, that route is boring to take a bike on
cshatfireball yeah can't find out too much but I was able to get just enough to put it together
what a *noice* video :D
Great review, nice bike, but as you said it would need a pipe. RSM8
***** definetly kev. and cheers
what is a pipe? thank you.
The pipe is standard
This or the Duke 390?
Grant85kg I haven't ridden the duke to compare
that yamaha dealer is shit! i was gonna get the fz6r from their and the sales person tried to rip me off 6 grand by upping the sale price for 10k to 16k after i signed the paperwork, the head manager of yamaha finance discovered this and gave me a call telling me he blocked the application and is calling the dealers manager, next thing i hear the sales person got the sac
shit hey? Yeah I have only had a good experience from the shop across the road there hey the guys on that side of the street I've never had a good experience
Good old moss street easily the best street in Brisbane ;p
hahaha the street yes but the dealerships maybe not so much?
yea true but there's nothing like a bit of eye candy when you're there hahaha
Noooiiice
sounds like an inline 4 doesn't sound like a ninja 300 at all
are you 12?
Does the salesman have to go along with you? That doesn't happen where I am, I guess there is a bit more trust in the country?
Depends where you go to. I live right near Sydney, and I was able to take a bike out for a test ride by myself. I had to stick to a preapproved route though, and was time limited
N Mills depends on the salesperson and the dealership I have a couple of videos coming out soon where I was given free reign on the route I took
Nothing dodgy bout me. I'm cool with escorted rides but yeah need some decent distance but hey I made do.
Laughing too much at 'moist'. Nice review!
wet is just too brash hey
What? You're surprised that the mirrors don't vibrate a lot? Man what a shitty bike you've got?
Rott Spünkeln Do you even ride bro?
Not good

does your mom know you're up late?
That stock pipe looks just like the one I put in the bin tonight ;) Think I've mentioned it before Jimmy but there's something up with your audio - high pitch noise throughout. ***** can't notice anything maybe its just on your end. Was worried about my own ride rather than that guy
I also hear it, you can clearly hear it at 4:57 as you turn off the engine.
fantastic review mate, indeed the Z300 makes a great commuter and a fantastic filter machine ;)
SupaNautica
;)
thanks sjbali yeah too bad I didnt get a chance to filter with it
This looks like a sick little machine man. Perhaps its time for sjbali to upgrade? ;)
not available here mate, only the 250cc which is the exactly same just 50cc / abs less :(
sjbali the 250cc is based off the old Ninja 250's isnt it? Surely the 300's should be coming in soon though wouldnt they?

I'm quite intrigued with this model. Would you recomment this as a first bike and a beginner, mainly for inner city runs?
If you watch my final thoughts near the end of the video you'll see my answer to your question
Not sure to buy a ninja 300 or a z300? What would you recommend? Learning beginner. Driving to and from work daily
Not a bad little bike mate. I kinda wanna ride one now
War Machine Motovlogs ya know what after riding more powerful bikes it refreshing to go back and find such a decent good little bike
Not a fan of LAMS bikes that have ABS and slipper clutches. That is shit you should be learning without aids.
Im on the fence with these new rider aids on LAMS like you, they have their place but they shouldn't be a crutch.
Hi!
Nice vid!
Would you recommend this bike for a beginner?
Hi, i want to ask 1 thing. how did you find the suspension which i know is very soft the front fork. i tested while i hop on on the store yesterday but i felt was way to soft. how did you find them on bumps?
nikolaidisv It absorbed the bumps quite well I purposely ran it into the bumps and didnt feel too much of a shock through the bars
How Tall Are You Sir??!^.~
Im a new rider... just want to know the difference between the z300 and the ninja 300? Not sure which one to buy.
masterrk7 the ninja 300 has fairings and clip on handlebars, it is more inline with a supersport riding positron. The Z300 has no fairings and traditional handlebars with an upright seating position. This or the ninja 300
thnx for making this video!, i'm trying to find out what bike i wanna buy first and this one seems like it could be a good choice
No worries glad I could help
Nice looking bike for a 300. Looks fun for city riding.
Perfect city bike hey
