Breaking Payday 3, AKA Can You Beat Payday 3 whilst cheesing every heist. Inspired by my first "Overkill solo" challenge run, I thought I'd show what I've learned since and leave all 8 heists on their knees.
This is what one month without an update does to a man.

So fun fact about Under the Suphaze - you can make guards check a floor above them by throwing a knife at a ceiling. Lets you clear out a good chunk of guards to speed up the GTFO hack objectives, or potentially keep em stuck on a roof with the door slam loop.
On Gold n Sharke you can rule out the front office if you watch the into cutscene, as you can see if the manager is inside of it. I usually bring motion detectors to then place 1 on a wall of one of the offices to narrow it down even more and keep the other one for the solo guard that patrols the 2nd floor on the right side of the bank. You can also spam the security room door to keep any nosy civs out of it and remain unmasked.
For whatever reason on Touch the sky the zipline secure zone counts as loot secure zone. If you bring a zipline bag over, pick it up and leave it on the floor you can secure all the loot from the vault right in the bedroom. Do be carefull - securing the SSD that way softlocks the heist.
I didn't realize that you can rule a room out by watching the cutscenes, I just always used the motion sensors hough

Bro I need people to play with in this game
Two bits about Touch the Sky:
- I once managed to punch in the right vault code first try without breaking into the office.
- One time, playing solo loud, the door to the office that usually needs a red keycard just… opened? I can’t remember if I interacted or not, but I hadn’t even gotten the thermite drop yet. I dunno if it’s an RNG thing or a bug, but it helped a lot.
I have too, but then I failed the mission on moving the bags. Ouch
I do tend to guess the code if I sit long enough trying them. It's only 24 combinations, but you have to remember what you try or write it down
tip for anyone struggling with stealth, when you restart a mission, all the the things that normally get randomized (item locations, keypad number combinations, etc) will not be rerandomized unless you completely quit out of the mission, so you can find a keypad code loud, then restart a mission and skip a good chunk of it silently in some cases, touch the sky is a great example of this.
Dirty Ice too, run into the building loud and find out what the code is then restart

None of the perks do anything that extreme
You probably ran into a player using the silent assassian cheat and playing it off as a perk
I hate that part of stealth, If they dont wanna replace phones or keycards fine but keypad codes should be random everytime even if u restart, When the easiest way to complete the first bank heist in stealth is to play it through the correct way to find the vault code and then restart to never have to mask up u got a fundamental problem in the heist design.

In the Touch the Sky mission, if you have everyone take ammo bags, one person with the perks to completely fill your throwables when interacting with an ammo bag, and the perk to give you a throwable back when one is used, you can spam flashbangs down the vent in the central room on the second floor, alerting the guards to your location.
They'll all gather in that room to investigate, and all be flashbanged. All the civs will be scared by the explosions and stay down. This allows everyone else to just do the entire mission while one person spams flashbangs down the vent, and you can still complete the mission in stealth.

I don't know if I'm losing faith in the game oh I'm just burnt out because I've always defended payday 3 and said give it time give it time it'll be a great game but slowly and beginning to realize that I'm not sure anymore ;((
Just let emcook if you need to take a mental break from the game then do it then come back when your ready or when they drop an update
I'd recommend just take a break mate maybe till an update but i don't want anyone to lose hope in any game hell I play tf2
I took a month break from gaming , just came back and I feel so much better now, take a break brother, just enjoy life for a little bit, read a new book, start a new hobby, but definitely I recommend if youre feeling burnt out to take a break
like all of the other commenters are saying, take a break. you wont enjoy it if you keep on playing it nonstop. go find something else to play for a bit and then come back refreshed
I defended it for a month too, until I realized I was simply defending Payday 2… and that Payday 3 is a completely different, hollow shell of the game I’ve sunk hundreds of hours into while grinding Infamy XXV. If you know you know.
I want to add, that if you throw the loot in the zipline square during Touch the Sky, it counts as loot secured. Also, the 99 boxes xp glitch - surprised it wasn't mentioned.

Something I noticed in Under the Surphaze loud, enemy types seem to spawn based on how many objectives you've done. If you open all the art rooms and steal everything except the main ones, you'll be fighting standard SWAT with the zapper and the grenadier. Once you've picked up the main ones, there's a chance cloakers and bulldozers will spawn and the final assault wave begins, or they won't until you start throwing the artwork in the helicopter.
It's because it's based on your mission (objective) progress, so if you don't steal the one that progresses the mission, you'll only get the weakest assault. I haven't tested stealing the paintings for the future missions but not the one for the first mission to see if it's purely about mission progress.
@@DeadlierThanLag I do believe that if you do the last painting before doing the other ones, it will start the final assault as I sort of recall accidentally doing that and almost screwed up the heist.
@@VonXdecimo Yup, stealing the Uma Ladette painting always triggers the final assault no matter when you do it.
Something to note about throwing knives in stealth: if you have the skill to make them not break on hard surfaces, you can effectively use them like loot bags for cheesing, as guards will be alerted upon seeing a knife (that they also hear when thrown ofc), just grab the knife back without being spotted and the guard will be stuck
Cheese, the only way to play a game once you've done everything else and nothing us being added into the game.

Touch the sky: you can stick a cam on masons left side and just let him walk into the vault as well, you still need office tho for decripting
There's actually another cheese strat for Touch the Sky that I found when playing with my friend. If you bring a zip line bag but never set it up, for some reason you can toss loot into the square where you normally would put the zip line and it counts the loot as normal. However don't try to toss the main loot into it otherwise you get softlocked and can't finish the heist.
I love cheesing heists, I’m surprised that people found them so quickly
With almost any other game that released as recent as Payday3 it would be a lot harder because all of the bugs and glitches would be patched out by now. But the devs decided to just keep delaying updates so there’s just so many bugs in the game currently and zero updates to fix them

Side Quest Idea for that: Texas Heat
I don't know if it was one of your video's that I said this or another's but a quick cheese to save looking for more than one QR code for gold and sharke is to bring motion sensors and place them on the walls outside 2 of the 3 potential key-card rooms (I usually go with the two in the front of the bank), this can detect if there is anyone in there without you ever having used the HR pc or having entered the room, if there is someone in the room then the key-card is in there too, if neither sensor tagged rooms have anyone inside then its the one you didn't mark by process of elimination.
(Note the room near garage access on the right side of the bank needs to have its motion sensor placed on the small far wall between the door and the corner where a supply room usually spawns so it can detect the staff member inside when he is on the far side)
Ironic how starbreeze wanted this game to have a more serious tone than payday 2 when with all this cheese it is as goofy or even goofier.

There is actually also a less precise climb to the east yard, which is even in the public area
Theres another extra cheese on touch the sky where you can use the "landing spot" for the zipline bag that is usually near the master bedroom door as a loot drop off (cant confirm if it will bug the hard drive)
also the 99 box sec room is always open on all difficulties, last played on hard and it is definetly openable without the blue keycard.

on 99 boxes, you can also throw loot into the front of the truck where the escape would be, however if you do this with the second degrading tech bag youll get softlocked
Funniest glitch to me is someone firing a ton of shots in Touch the Sky's skylight, triggering all guards to search. Then he lured them close to the 2F bathroom and tossed the knives into the corner next to bathtub, quickly picked it up, then waited for all guards to walk in into that corner, ran out quick, swung the door inward into the bathroom and trapped them there, then tossed knives perpendicular into another room, to make sure they are looking away from you walking back into the bathroom, then he hacked the lead guard's phone, and walked off casually heisting. Without any guard on the map anymore.
That was illegal.
On dirty ice you can also see the VIP room code from cameras inside the room and on the white board via micro cam

Hey look buddy, I'm an Engineer.
That means I solve practical problems.
No rest for the wicked security room is not necessarily true, it is if the Security room is in the shown location, or the power Room is NOT on the roof. There seems to be a bug if the power Room is on the roof, the room closest to the stairs will be a secure area, I've seen a secure bathroom before
Another cheesy glitch on Touch the Sky is the zipline bag drop point in the bedroom acts as a loot bag drop point, so you can just pick up and drop the zipline bag at the start and secure all the loot in there if you don't want to take it all to the elevator in stealth or to the heli during a final assault wave in loud. Not that loot matters but helpful for anyone that needs to do Pay Dirt
If you hack a guards radio then hit him in the back he glitches out and stays in position for the rest of mission. But if he sees you again he goes straight to shooting. Use knives to lure guard into rooms, hack em and they’re trapped inside

On any heist with vehicles, its possible for them to clip you out of the map when the alarm goes off.
8:41 You can start sprinting again the second the ! triangle pops up, their pathing wont change and they cant spot you fast enough if you go quick enough

Can just use motion trackers in Gold & Sharke to find the Red Keycard. Civ only spawns with the keycard.
“Carefully crafted objectives”
A few days ago I somehow broke Dirty Ice, and not in a good way. I accidentally ran through the managers’s office door, which attracted the lead guard’s attention. He went to investigate, and subsequently got stuck in a loop of hearing himself opening the door. The break room guard soon joined him. I did not have Cover Up unfortunately
The security room glitch on 99 boxes works on hard and very hard as well (im not sure about normal)
All difficulties it works
I wanted to offer some additional cheese: on any heist you can apparently break the ai if you throw a throwing knife with retriever, then pick it up when the guard calls it in, this guard will then go back to his patrol route and be stuck for the rest of the game. You can also permanently mark all guards on the map with the cameras somehow, I've never done either of these, but I've had randoms in my lobby do them. Also on big bank another easy way to see where the red keycard is, is to use a motion detector on the doors where it can spawn, If there's a civ inside, then that's where the keycard spawned
I think he didnt do the knife trick as you said since if the knife doesnt break and a guard sees it it will trigger a search, then he cant use it as a guard lure
@@altioar yea both are useful, but one is game breaking. Without retriever it's simply a temporary distraction. With retriever, if you time it right you can glitch the guards into not patrolling
If you really hate guards, you get their attention with something through a door and close said door while/by sprinting into it.
If you really, *really* hate guards, you lure more over to find out what the hell that first guard is doing.

For the Manager trick on DIrty Ice i dont think thats a cheese strat to begin with and its supposed to work that way. If she stayed around for longer normally it wouldent be as bad but finding that evidence is supposed to stop her from leaving. Even if u enter the store from the beginning she still stays in the store after u scan that evidence. If u use the favor that makes her spawn in the staff breakroom she never leaves the map even if u ignore the evidence.
One thing that bothers me till this day on the first heist on console if your unmasked and pick up a keycard it completely disappears and can’t continue on stealth so you either have to restart or go loud

On gold and sharke you can look through the window to see if the dude is in the first room cause keycard is always in the room with a person in it

What’s funny is that on hard and Lower, on 99 boxes you can just get rid of all five roaming guards and have free reign to run around, I also shot my grenade launcher and the camera guard didn’t hear it. :/

I love walking out the front door unmasked, but the dye pack bags should tip off everyone. You should have to sneak those out if you want them
Also, what the hell triggers the truck going left or right? I always open the gate and it occasionally turns right anyway

Any plans on explaining how to get Assets?
I play on xbox and I just run through the misson stealth to get the code then restart. The misson doesn't generate anything different and I just have the code as soon as I get to the door.

So, you missed a trick with gold and sharke, you can get the zip line bag asset and the guard on the roof will despawn.

oh wow the Camera cheese is good to know so i can take out more guards and disable the cameras.
Since heists don't randomize between restarts, I like to bypass brute force by figuring out the code then immediately restarting...

I'm glad that they made unmasked gameplay such a viable option to boost variety.
That means if there'll ever be a patch, it'll be the first thing they nerf.
Touch the Sky if u get the Zipline Assest and never set it up you can extract Bags into where your ment to build the zipline (Don't Extract the SSD, it soft locks you)
How exactly does the bruteforce work?
The first section of Road Rage is trivial if you use a hostage shield…. Just to test it, yesterday I walked a hostage from the start all the way to the drill section, and went completely untouched without having to fire at any cops at all. I’m talking 100% fresh from the start of the heist.
don’t they relentlessly chase after you to melee you? They are suicidal when it comes to that lol
@@meat. no… weirdly enough they can’t catch up with me. The spawns tend to just form a huge mob that slowly follows you. Bullet Shields are absolutely incredible on this game, in every heist.
Grab a hostage, keep your back to the truck and the civilian in front of you. Walk with the truck and see the result when you get to the other side
IN ADDITION you can have a player stand in front of the truck while the other 3 lock pick, and they won’t put up much of a fight either. Just remember not to ADS until you have to, then quickly un-ADS
Imagine if you could time travel to 2014 and tell yourself that payday 3 would be out in 10 years and you wouldn’t be playing it, you would still be playing hoxton breakout 😓

I didn't know bags could break the camera man, I set off his pager trying that on 99 boxes
My brother and I discovered on touch the sky if one of you go into custody and the other times a 50/50 jump on the side of the main bathrooms jacuzzi then they will respawn in the ceiling unable to be shot by the cops
They better be sure about improving their update pipeline, new ark just came out and it's already received like 4 or 5 updates in 2 days.

I feel these are intended game mechanics. Pd3 was meant to be different than its previous titles. So cheese or not, these strats are intended. So use how you see fit.

On gold and shark, you can cheese the game by checking the front window into liams office. If he is in there, the red card is in there.

I think the Developers wanted the COD friendly cheese style mobile experience of game over the slower classic pace from 2 so all the noobs Online can play it for one day, it's all cha-ching for them right.

You can tell it was a game meant for game pass. They’re almost always lower quality games lacking in key features. Some other games like this would be halo, aoe 4, Warhammer 3.
The game wasn’t planned for Gamepass. The deal was done in the final year of development.
How did you skip the eye scan in the first heist?
You can input the vault code without the eye scan, the scan just unlocks the objective to find out what the code is

PAYDAY 2 ENINEER TF2 CHALLENGE LETS GOOOOOOOO
You stole my roof trick on shark
You know after a month I really feel the progression system. At the start it was okay weird but okay. But after 86 hours I finished all the reasonable challenges.
Really weird how we have so much good stuff but QOL featchers and the UI dint get the same treatment.
I mean we have "special loot" or "loot state" like normal jewelry, vip jewelry, clean jewelry, die pack money normal money. Why not give us
IP for
1 successful heist + difficult bonus
2 better loot bonus, clean jewelry, money bags
3 all loot
4 stealth bonus
And to make it a competitive co op game
Give small bonus to the person with the least amount of downs, most kills and so on this would make the game so much more fun and rewarding. Also these can only activate if you play the heist with atleast 1 real player.
Battlefield Hardline most likely stopped me from playing this more. Also, player base of PayDay made me play bf more.
While the lack of updates is sad I'm kinda glad it's given me time to study the games systems
And get some grinding out the way
One of the only issues for PD2 is for a new player there's so much shit you have to manage all at once

can anyone explain why some security guards search and some call in the alarm when I use a throwing knife to distract them?
I think it has to do with your knife not breaking (a skill). If you throw your knife you distract them, however if they see it because it didn’t break they will call in the alarm

In No Rest For the Wicked the security room is complete RNG as to whether or not it’s Private or Secure, but it doesn’t matter which location it’s in. I’ve had it be just private on Overkill in both locations plenty of times

Man I despise how often the game reloads your shotgun even though you have shells in it from the ammo skills just because you clicked a little too fast
