I was watching this on pay per view with my grandmother. They instantly cut to video packages. So I didnt see anything. Later Ross and Lawler were practically in tears saying Owen passed away. My grandmom was still thinking it was gimmick, part of the show. She always watched the 10:00 news, which was right after the ppv, the top story was Owen Hart falling to his death at a live ppv event. That's when it really hit us. RIP Owen
I don't like the tone of the interviewer. "You watched a man die, not only a man, but Owen Hart." No... all life is equal. Don't deify the guy. I'd feel the exact same if I saw a homeless man die. This is why (wrongly so) when people put up help requests - celebrities get more, despite usually already having more access to money.
He did not yell get out of the way. Poor guy fell to his death. The shock, and speed of the fall. I doubt he had the frame of mind to scream that. May he RIP
There's no way he said all that in barely two seconds.it would've taken him at least a second to even realize he fell. People in the pro wrestling industry like the blur the lines between the performance and reality.
It wasn't the first time Owen came out of the rafters as Blue blazer, he had done 8t before a number of times. Another wrestler, Sting, did it a bunch of times too. A number of Hockey mascots have done it at games since Owen's death as well

RIP Owen
Man hearing PTSD in action is rough. You could hear his brain flash back between words when he talked about driving by Kemper 20 years later.
KC person here too. I've been to several events there since early 80's and I always think of Owen every time I see it.
RIP Owen, I was so sad and cried about this when I was watching the ppv at the time

GOD GIVE US BACK OWEN HART AND WILL GIVE U BEL PIERCE !!!
I went to Owens funeral in Calgary.
I wonder if Owen had landed on the ropes & not the turnbuckle if it could've saved him..
He did land on the ropes and then fell to the mat but his aorta tore and he drowned to his death
😭😭😭😭

Why McMahon take a chance to do a stunt like that. And use Owen hart. How come McMahon didn't do that stunt
Sorry to hear Owen hart fell to his death. They should have rehearsals with a dummy first. Looks like a setup

He was probably screaming for his life
actually there's accounts of multiple different people who said his last words as he was falling were "look out"
How do you scream for your life when you fall and pass out in a 2 second span
@@WWFX-PACTV 2.7 seconds, of course you'd scream falling from that height
