Guitar tutorial for Back To You Selena Gomez! Back To You is Selena's newest single that is from the soundtrack for the second season of 13 Reasons Why! Back To You is an AWESOME guitar song for beginner guitarists because it is tuned to a half step down, but is still very easy to play! All you will need to play this song is 3 basic guitar chords (G, C, and Em; I will have chord charts in the comments), a very easy picking pattern, and two very beginner strum patterns (also in the comments)! I get a lot of requests to do this, but I haven't done it because it would at least double the length of my videos and I prefer to keep my lessons as short and to the point as possible! But I appreciate your input and am always looking on ways to improve, so I will take it into consideration as I move forward :) Thanks!

How do u decide when to use the pick or not
Just depends on the song! Most of the time if I am playing a riff or solo for a song, I will use a pick! If it is picking-through chords, I almost always fingerpick :)
personal preference to you dont always need a pick

How can i do the tuning? I am not that pro that by just hearing i can change the tuning perfectly
When you do the G it looks like your finger ring finger is on the 2nd string from the bottom. And it kinda sounds like it. Do you have it on the second string?
Depending on the song I sometimes do have that down there on 3rd fret of the B string :) Just depends on whether it fits with the song or not, but sometimes gives the G chord a little nicer sound!

Thanks so much for your kind words :) Great question that honestly deserves a whole video to explain! But the best short answer I can give you has to do with this video I made on how to learn any song by ear (ua-cam.com/video/JpfCKkNjoDc/v-deo.html). My trick for knowing is that if I am learning a song by ear, and it has an F# note on the low E as a bass note, then it is probably tuned down a half step. That is not always true and there are A LOT more details to it than that, but that is kind of the short version :)

This one would be a bit tricky to start with with no former practice, but it is do-able :) Just start as slowly as you need to and practice until you can play it full speed!
