Thank you for saying this. I was born simular. You are not alone. I'm 46 and just now learning to be me. I'm thinking about telling my story. Thank you again.

Hey girl, good to "see" you again! I know exactly what you mean, as you know I have AMC too. I've never had friends who were disabled, because I never thought of myself in that way since my disability is not as noticeable. People stare and some won't befriend me because I walk differently. I admire you for facing your fears and talking about yourself. I'm very independent and that's just part of me, and it sounds like that is part of you too. Good Job! thx so much

Hi! It’s great to hear from you! ❤️ And yeah, exactly, I’ve never really had any disabled friends so for some time identifying myself as a disabled person was difficult because it’s just never been a big part of me. Then last year I wrote an essay for uni about disability identity and it completely changed my point of view and I started to want to identify with it more but then I strayers thinking if I’m disabled enough to do it, and here’s my video about it 😅 Thank you so much for leaving a comment, it really means a lot! ❤️

I have Meniere's Disease. I have several days a month in which I am dizzy, unbalanced, and will have "attacks" that leave me having extreme instances of vertigo and nausea. I had to stop working as a bus driver because it was a disqualifier to hold a CDL. I haven't found a job yet that lets me take random, unscheduled days off. I am not disabled enough to get disability. It has put a strain on many of my relationships unfortunately as I was the bread winner in my family!

I have invisible disabilities, too. It is very hard and I'm positive, along with my age, why it took me 10 years to get approved for disability since I'm not able to work, and that was really rough having to rely on people for everything.

You are trying to make it seem harder than it actually is. So, relax karen. You are not a victim.
