The Joy - The Belonging Co, David Dennis | "C"apital Dance Ministry

Hello! We are the choreographers for the final showcase piece called The Joy (Lena Bae, Pauline Chang, and Jimmy Lee). When picking what song to do for the final piece for our showcase, we thought about what piece would fully embrace the essence of our overarching theme of “Emptying” this year. In our three sub themes, we touched upon Surrender, Unity, and Redemption through our three past performances. And as we thought about it, we were reminded of the joy that God refills us with when we come broken before him. As we pour out our burdens to God, humbly and vulnerably, we empty ourselves of the sins and hurts that we carry. Yet, God-gracious as He Is-takes all of that and refills us with something so beautiful. This imagery depicts what this piece means to us. At the end of the day, God will always fill us with his grace and mercy, no matter how broken we are. This piece is a testament to the joy that we feel as we are filled with the Lord, no matter how underserving we may be. We thank you Lord for all that you have given to this ministry and we pray that you will continue to send your abundant overflow upon this ministry.
