- With high horsepower, big egos, and lots of money on the line, sometimes things can get crazy. From small tire to big tire, things can get out of hand very quickly and craziness can happen. In 2019, we were able to capture many crazy wheelstands, wrecks, nitrous back fires and more to put in this compilation. One thing we can say is all the drivers walked away to compete again after some of these crazy rides here on Wild Rides 2019!!!!!!

There is just something comforting with the crashes. You know, watching tens of thousands of dollars vaporize in an instant is very gratifying, and calming to the soul! The absolute best is the head on hits to the rails with flames engulfing the car and driver on the big end, then second best would be the ones playing bumper cars on both guardrails.......just fantastic stuff.

Back in the day it was nothing but HORSEPOWER, nitrous wasn't even around.
My little hot rod 9s in the quarter and once I spun the centers out of my rims. And it would pull the frontend off the ground bout 12 inches off the ground.
71 Dodge Dart Swinger. Totally rebuilt the engine and B &M transmission. I miss those days.

And time in my car. I do'nt think i would run on this track. It has a good size drop toward where the cars are breaking loose.

Pro Stock rules permit a variety of race-proven modifications and performance ¬ enhancements on stock bodied, stock appearing -vehicles. One enhancement not allowed is the use wheelie bars.
Past NMCA champion Butch Kemp and his fellow NMCA Pro Stock racers don't like the “no wheelie bar” rule. Kemp and his peers who faithfully supported the class have decided without wheelie bars the risk is too great for the potential reward. In this case, Kemp says the reward is his just being able to race safely.
It should be mandatory. All Ford fox body Mustangs have an onboard fire suppression system, because they slam the wall more than any other make of car.

Sometimes if the tires shake the chutes can come out. If you want to see something really cool watch a Pro Mod tire shake in slow motion. They're shake so hard they literally stop being round and look like a square.

I'd like to introduce these guys to something. it's called a wheelie bar.
the other finnegan some classes don’t allow them, that is why they are missing on some of these expensive cars. A wheelie bar can really improve times, so cars with and without them are usually not classed the same.
That one track in SC I think, needs a new announcer pretty bad. All their guy ever says is "WOAHHHH" "AWWW MANNNN" and "EEE HIT DA WAW"

Ok but recorded engine noises aren't going to be popular. Also the crowds would all be watching basically a tennis match. Besides 95+% of racers/enthusiasts know electric powered cars are pretty much gonna be the winners. The race would just be traction setup and driver skills (sort of).
