I agree with this 100% all the creators that I have been watching have almost cause more stress than needed. I am bad with FOMO but I just need to relax and not rush the game. Rushing will cause content to get stale and the game to end to quickly. Thanks for your views on this. Have a great day!

I decided pretty quickly after the announcement that I'd hold off on the paid DLC until I was ready. I want to experience the 2.0 update a bit more organically than I may otherwise. I don't really have a deadline for deciding to get HHP and I'm not worried about it being "sold out" like I've seen people wondering. I know when I'll be ready to move into it, so I'll grab it then. I have a few islands that are in various states of "doneness" so I've had plenty to keep me occupied. My main island is the only one I'm going to do HHP on at first. I have a very large amount of Nook Miles there so I've not had to worry about trying to grind up more to be able to enjoy everything. I'm really excited about all of it and especially how it's really revitalizing the community!
Thanks for saying what needed to be said. I literally saw hundreds videos last week titled “10 THINGS YOU HAVE TO DO BEFORE THE UPDATE” and it honestly puts alot of unneeded stress on the players. The game is meant to be enjoyed at your own pace. If we really listened to what acnh influencers said we’d all be burnt out by now.

I'm flattening my island (I've been planning on it for a while) and honestly it's been helping me from feeling overwhelmed. I can rebuild my island with the new free content rather than trying to build from nothing on a reset or trying to make new items work in my jam packed island. I love the no pressure approach cause Animal Crossing is about escapism and relaxing there shouldn't be crazy expectations about everything.
Same here, I thought about it for a long time and I decided I don’t wanna lose my villagers and my achievements so I’m in the process of flattening rn and honestly it’s brought the joy for the game back. When I first started playing I was in a depressive episode during the beginning of lockdown and I played this game religiously. For the last few months I kind of lost interest bc I felt like I’ve already achieved everything and my island was done and I was feeling better, so I couldn’t fabricate this initial feeling of comfort anymore that I had when first playing. But now with the update I feel like this will be a while new game and I’m so inspired and excited to relive my experiences from when I first played. My island is literally called “comfort” bc this game is about comfort and escapism as you said and as long as you are happy while playing it it doesn’t matter how far you progress or how done you are with your island! Sorry for that rant, I just barely see people talking about flattening their island so this really reassured me :D
Such a wonderful and important video!! I think we sometimes forget that trailers are supposed to give us a taste of what to expect. While the trailer did show us a lot, we aren’t supposed to know everything all at once, and it feels like the community wants to uncover everything right away, which makes our brains kinda spin out. 😅 I think it’s a good idea to just take the game in stride! Instead of worrying about what you may miss out, become comfortable with the idea that you may never know everything that was added and that there’s always room for new discoveries. ☺️ Amazing video Elizabeth!! I'm lucky that I've been too lazy to spend nook miles because now I have about 130k saved up lol, the first think I'm doing is taking Kapp'n up on his offer to go to a mysterious island - I can't wait to hear him sing to me
Their wasn't any overwhelming for me for 2.0 update, I was done with the game, it announced, I started anew, 8ts fun again, I've put close to 800 hour on the game over all
@@foxgrove I’m enjoying it for the most part but i will not be done setting it up by Friday lol. It does feel like a new game after i flattened though. Just with cheat codes because i gave my miles, Bells and items still 🤣🤣
