Superb solos by two giants. I first saw Gene Ammons in an Oakland club back in the 70's, and got to 'hang out' with my 'adopted' Dad, Sonny Stitt. I met him in the mid seventies and he immediately liked me (calling me his son), and invited me to all his shows and whenever he was in town staying at an hotel, I would come by and 'hang out' with him. He let my 'no playing a**' get onstage with him whenever I wanted to. At times, there would be Chet Baker, Billy Higgins, Richie Cole, Mal Waldron, John Handy 'sitting in' and back stage. It was great! Anyway, your transcriptions are always top notch😎😎😎
