When you are playing a tune are you counting 1&2&3&4& in your head?

@@scottwaltner4908 sometimes when I’m first learning a tune, I think that in my head! I try to “feel the pulse” of each tune as I learn them.

How do you feel the pulse of a tune if you aren’t familiar with the tune?

@ I DEFINITELY try to listen to a tune that I’m learning a bunch so that I have that tune in my head before I learn it. It helps to have a tune in your head from listening to it ahead of time versus just learning it from paper. Both methods tend to reinforce one another! 🤓
