    Hey Jake,
Been following you for over 2 years and treating tendinopathy with loading.
I felt like loading was helping and also I enjoyed getting jacked lol.
But after a while developed a new kind of pain in my knee and ignored it for a while. Turns out my cartilage on the back of my kneecap is completely worn down to the bone. Only 27 years old.
Don’t exclude arthritis as a possibility.

I kind of put that with PFP. In my head, I have them on a spectrum (PFP early on, OA later on) and I’m keeping them there even if it’s incorrect.

I assume patellar tracking disorder falls under the first part of the patellar instability you covered?
Thought I had patellar tendonitis for a while and followed your program until I got an MRI and actually the tendon was healthy, but my patella is being pulled to the outside of the knee. My cause seems to be a combination of flat feet I’ve disregarded for a while, and weak tight glutes/hammies etc.
Either way I’ve still learned a lot from your work and apply the relevant parts to my training with modifications now

The tracking argument is complex. A lot of people have “bad tracking” and no pain, and the reverse is also true. It seems to be more a product of how the patella fits in the femur and how those bones are built. To me, it would fall into the patella instability category and when someone gets pain relief (or doesn’t), it’s difficult to attach an exact mechanism explaining why.
