When Hank is putting up the wanted poster in the beauty salon, he mentions that all those people up at the Waffle Hut were killed "for what? A little money?” That was a subtle reference to the line that Marge said toward the end of the film Fargo (1996).
Patrick Wilson and Zahn McClarnon (Hanzee) come together in another film; Bone Tomahawk. It's got a great cast including Kurt Russell if you're interested in a slasher/suspense horror movie this Halloween season.
Bone Tomahawk was much better than I expected going into it. Though, to be fair, I knew nothing of it other than Kurt Russell was in it and that was enough for me to watch it.
That film is so dope. You think you know how it's kind of gonna be and then NOPE. lmao Brawl in Call Block 99 and Dragged Across Concrete are also pretty great.
10:53 "how did you hit the tree twice?" -Daniel "well, I think he backed up and then did it again." -Sam 😆 i don't know why but i find this extremely funny.
It's brilliant when something can create tension and fear for a character's life even when you know they are still alive in the future. Also the world building is great, you can rewatch the entire saga afterwards and have a different view of some things based off what you learned afterwards from a different part of the tapestry being woven.
contrary to instinct, defcon (defense readiness condition) is rated from 5 lowest to 1 highest. Defcon 1 is where everything is primed for war or is just initiated
I loved Lou's character since the beginning but only on a rewatch I realised that Lou's casting and character is perfect and very symbolic for this setup: the season takes place in late 70's, it has all the references to war movies with heroes and Lou is a perfect 70's hero: badass, witty and brave, incredibly attractive with the bright blue eyes, perfect family man with a tragic story, etc. Molly and Gus are portrayed as normal humans with their flaws, also smart and brave, but still relatable, while Lou is like a superhero cop and I'm 100% sure he was made like this on purpose to fit the 70's style.
So glad you’re loving this series, it might be better the more you watch it. The writer/director/sound team/editor/producer/actors…..ect, made an even mo4e pleasurable series called “LEGION” not to be confused with the movie legion which had nothing to do with it. But it would be a great watch because like aliens movies, it would be great to watch during October scary stuff even though it’s not a horror in its per say. Noah Hawley is the creator of both series and has some great books, after season 5 of Fargo airs he’s starting work on an Aliens based anthology series which I’m sure will be amazing!
SPOILER: He is one of the best characters overall. He trained Mr. Numbers And Mr. Wrench. He was in season one and season two Being a boss until Melvo killed him.
Hanzee, so far, has not been a prominent character. But he increasingly becomes one of the more interesting villains in a season with 3 villains...Milligan, Hanzee & Dodd. Milligan is more cerebral. Hanzee is a study in the saying "Still waters run deep". And Dodd is just a vicious bully out for more power. There are moments when Milligan & Dodd will actually make you laugh. But I don't think there's ever a moment when Hanzee does. Ever. All three are riveting to watch throughout the season (& keep a close eye on each one). But I'm partial to Zahn McClarnon (Hanzee). He's a wonder in every role he undertakes. Loving your analysis & discussions. Also love both your personalities. You're both so engaging. Much love & appreciation from Kentucky. 💙🌿💙🌿💙🌿💙🌿💙🌿💙🌿💙🌿💙
In addition to all the other wonderful things there are to say about this show, I absolutely love the color palette they use in this season - the blues and browns dominate almost every scene and I can't remember another movie or show that captures the color blue so vividly and beautifully - it's really distinct and pleasing to the eye (edit: at least to my eye lol)
I didn't even realize you guys were on season 2 already. 😮 I love it sooooo much. This is one of the great episodes but they actually get better. Patrick Wilson is one of my pretend husbands, fyi. 🤭I'm sure his wife is concerned. I love Peggy. I identify with her. Not that I'd hit and run but you'll see. Or maybe you won't. But this season is one of the best ensembles of TV. Maybe only second to "Twin Peaks". I'll have to catch up on what I missed. 🤗
Ben Schmidt, Gus' senior lieutenant in the Duluth police department from the first episode. Remember how Lou asked Gus Grimly in the first episode if Schmidt was still the boss there? He's such an asshole, Lou said, because he remembered how Ben gave back
This is my favorite season of the series. Mike Milligan and Hansee are great bad guys, but the real genius was getting Jeffrey Donovan as Dodd--what a change in character (and looks) after being Mike Weston in Burn Notice. And Kirsten Dunst showed great chops. . .
Always remember that Defcon 1 is the top "defense condition" warning. I remember it like murder in the 1st degree is the most serious and so is Defcon 1👍
@@Minion_of_CthulhuI think David Thewlis' performance as Vargas is too much evil for some viewers to handle and their opinion of S3 suffers. I think it's an amazing season.
I enjoyed them all and have watched them all multiple times, season 4 I thought was as good as season 1 and almost season 2, but the more I watch 4 it has become my least favorite. Season 3 which wasn’t my favorite has grown on me to almost edging season 1. In my book it 2,1,3,4 That being said there’s not much better out there. I can’t wait for the fifth! Have you watched the LEGION series, I love it so much, almost as much as Ed has for Peggy 😜
@@vicegrips188I think for me, the biggest flaw of S4 are it’s characters. Unfortunately I didn’t find anyone nearly as interesting as the ones we’ve had in previous seasons.
How can nothing have happened Lou found something in Dakota the crime family killed someone cause he did not know where ray is the crime family lead by the mum and the one with the black guy came face to face at there farm Kirsten dunst character and her husband heard about the guy her husband killed maybe accidentally is wanted and there are trying to cover it up by doing something there car l would say a lot happened
What's up with the censorship? Does UA-cam no longer allow you to show rabbit guts? I remember the days when the internet was free. Now it's turned into a censorious hellhole. Sad.
@@TBRSchmitt We know. It's just the strangle-hold UA-cam and other platforms have on creators can get frustrating -- even x-times more so for creators! You are still one of the best content creators here!
@@TBRSchmitt Wow, that's terrible. Is this a new thing? I watch LMReactions, and they are doing The Wire currently. The other day they showed an episode where there was graphic sex scene with nudity and they didn't blur it out or anything. Their video is still up. I don't know if it's demonotized and they don't care, or if it's fine, but either way, they don't censor anything on their videos. So maybe this censorship doesn't affect everyone equally. The LMReaction girls are from Serbia though, so maybe that has something to do with it. Thanks guys.❤
Molly got her mom’s crime solving logic genius
And Her father's courage and "straight-to-the-point-no-bullshit" attitude
This episode shows the true character of Minnesota state trooper Lou Solverson, he has integrity.

Considered a "Western/Horror" as well. Very good and somehow unique.

One of the most brutal and wild movies I've ever seen
That film is truly awful.. not worth reacting to
Props to connecting Schmidt from season 1 so fast. I didn't get that until a few episodes later.
Hanzee Dent is the most fascinating and bad ass character in all of Fargo.
But he is not the same league as Malvo
@@vulamnguyen9453 you're absolutely right. Hanzee is about 10x better
Nice!
Thank you for this!

I remember "Agree" shampoo. IIRC, it made my hair feel really silky. And it had a nice scent..sort of fresh & green.💚🌿
