You just don't realize how many hits she had until you see them compiled together. Thanks for doing that for us fans. I was born a few months after her. It sure makes me stop and think about my own life as I watch people my age start to pass away.
My daughter Carolyn is only 17 and she loves the singing of Lesley. Her posters are on the wall along with Beyonce, Brittney Spears, Rhianna, Lady Gaga, Taylor Swift and Corrine Bailey Rae. I turned her on to Lesley when she was only two and she's been hooked ever since.
My wife and I are the same age as Lesley. She was a great talent. May she rest in peace. We saw her at a rock n roll show about 10 years. She still sounded and looked great. I was a real treat for us.
I and others of my generation were fortunate to have heard and enjoyed this beautiful and talented woman. Artist like her only come once in a lifetime and no more, we were the lucky ones...
UUUGGHHH!!!, being a "baby boomer ," i can tell you that LG was such a success,(sic), a fox, talent,star,wonder,etc....she had it all. Us boy teens had a crush on her....and her music is now so near and dear to us. May she rest in peace. I listen to her voice nearly every day.
Wow, I never get bored to listen to her hit "You don't Owe me" and did not know she passed away last year 2015, how can that be possible I was not aware of it. Oh wow I am so sorry to hear that; RIP Lesley continue singing in heaven. 10-17-16
What a beautiful lady and talent. My two oldest sisters taught me how to dance when I was 9 years old to Lesley Gore records in 1963. Thank you Lesley and Rest In Peace.
She is one of my very favorite female vocalists of ALL time and this is a great tribute, I have every single record and this wonderful tribute is a testament that she had many more Hits than the average person may be aware of. I don't think Mercury Records really understood that she needed to grow as an artist. Some of her recorded efforts that didn't necessarily chart were very musically interesting nevertheless.
I LOVED --yes, LOVED!!-- every one of Lesley's hits. She had a fantastic voice & held her own despite the Briti9sh invasion. I saw her at The TAMI Show & will never forget hyow nervous she was u7ntil the music began, then her smile & the music took over. She was drop-dead cute, & sang with impeccable phrasing. RIP, Beautiful Lesley. Wolfsky9

Great tribute to an exceptional talent. Remember, "It's my party" was released about 10 months before the US went bat shit over the Beatles. So fondly do I remember her. SO much does she belong honored for eternity in Cleveland.
On what would have been Lesley’s 78th birthday her music still resonates. RIP you will be remembered for all the great music you gave us, much of it never officially recorded. There are so many bootleg recordings of her singing live, the most recent one I heard was Imagine
Miss her a lot. I'm surprised this tribute does not include "Run Bobby Run", it's a great tune with Leslie's heavenly voice & flair sprinkled all over it along with those solid background harmonies. Give it a listen - it will make you smile & warm your heart.
Such a wonderful talent, and I really enjoyed spending time with her. Had her as a guest on my radio show several times. May she RIP. You can hear my interviews with her on PMPNetwork.com.
GERAT TRIBUTE !!! SHE PERFORMED LIVE VERY LATE IN LIFE - SHE STILL HAD THE *ANOINTING* FROM GOD !!! STANDING OVATIONS !!! Back in my youth, I had a little crush on Lesley. It was because of the sparkle in her beautiful eyes. Back in the 60's she performed in old Comiskey Park ( Chicago White Sox ). Enjoyed her performance back then along with all her hit songs. May she rest in peace as her performances here on earth were a gift and quite entertaining.
