- The Book Stall is an independent bookseller and a great deal more. It's become a Winnetka social center, a learning center, and a friend to lean on for many Winnetkans.
Authors who've appeared at The Book Stall include J.K. Rowling, Jimmy Carter, Caroline Kennedy, among many others. Needless to say, authors at that level of fame draw a crowd and their presence at The Book Stall becomes an event.
