  • Hey guys, in this video I'll show you how I spend less than 2 euros a day on food here in Portugal. I show that it is possible to spend little at the market and eat well!
I shopped at the Pingo Doce market.
    CALCULATION OF DISHES
    • 1st dish of €0.94 •
Sweet potatoes: €0.27 (1/3 of the potato)
    Eggs: €0.33 (3 units)
Beans: €0.19 (1/4 of the package)
Rice: €0.15 (1/5 of the package)
    • 2nd dish of €1.28 •
Spaghetti: €0.06 (1/7 of the package)
Salad: €0.22 (1/5 of the package)
    Tuna: €0.89 (1 unit)
    Egg: 0.11€ (1 unit)
    • 3rd dish of €0.89 •
Rice: €0.15 (1/5 of the package)
Beans: €0.19 (1/4 of the package)
Salad: €0.22 (1/5 of the package)
    Egg: €0.33 (3 units)
    VALUE OF ITEMS
    RICE (1KG) 0.79€
    SPAGHETTI (500G) 0.45€
    TUNA (110G) €0.89
    SWEET POTATO (480G) €0.81
    FROZEN SALAD (400G) €1.09
    EGGS (12 UN) 1.39€
    BEANS (820G) €0.79
KEEP IN MIND: The frozen salad I got, one of the most expensive of the white brand (brand in the market), I could have paid a lot less if I had gone to the Pingo Doce fair. Like beans, if I had taken one that wasn't already cooked, it would have come out much cheaper.
AND ONE MORE ADDENDUM: I could reduce the cost of the dishes even more if I shop in different places, but that's it for the next video! 😉
