This episode really hammers home how much Armand's submissiveness just gives Louis the illusion of control without the reality of it. Louis spends DAYS begging Armand to stop hurting Daniel but it's only when Louis frames it as something to strengthen their relationship that Armand actually stops and pulls the "Yes Maître" bit.
This episode is soooo well acted like the convo between Armand and Louis in the 70s is a staple of the fandom, people know word for word the script of their fight 😂 Watching old people cry is my detonator, don't be sad Daniel 😢
Ryann, this reaction was priceless, as I knew it would be with this explosive episode! Just like you, we all "spiralled" as we watched it, and it was both relatable and hilarious to see you foreshadow how emotional you felt this episode was going to be, only for you to be stressed out as Louis and Armand fought, and Louis and Daniel unravelled what the hell went down in that apartment! The acting, writing, and directing in this episode was top tier, and I don't blame you for needing time to digest it all! Love this show, love this reaction! Great job!
Unrelated to your comment, kind of, but I never skip your comments under IWTV/Hannibal video reactions. I've seen them in almost all the reaction videos I've watched for IWTV, just started watching Hannibal and was so happy to see them under some videos. Lol, I sound like a stalker but I love how respectful and appreciate you are to the reactors, it's so lovely to see.
@@AshleySamM Thank you so much for these very kind words, they're a lovely surprise to receive! 😊 Glad my attempts to support and appreciate those who work hard to put something positive into fandom is welcome and enjoyed! And btw, what excellent taste you have in shows!! 😉
@@mitchmatt6002 You're welcome. I actually gotta thank you guys, Interview With The Vampire fans, who recommended Hannibal for getting me to watch it, and I'm glad I trusted ya'lls taste in shows, pun intended 😅
I loved this episode and I feel like I kept processing little bits of it that I missed after the fact or while editing it down for UA-cam! it was quite an experience! 🩶
Such a great reaction! None of us were ready for this episode. You're absolutely right that Armand messes with Louis' mind. Did you catch how the end of the previous episode was the two of them having a huge fight in their bedroom and this episode starts with the two of them being giggly and romantic about their time in museums? Suspicious. I'm so glad we got this Louis/Daniel dynamic. I can't not cry at the two of them when Daniel comes back with his book and reads the words Louis said to him aloud. I also love this show for still including comedy in such an intense episode because I absolutely laughed out loud the second Armand came in wearing Malik's glasses at the end of the episode, not realizing how thoroughly he messed up by leaving Louis and Daniel to have some time alone. Can't wait to see what you think of the rest of the season!
great catch there! the vibe always seems so suspicious between them! right!? I was losing it at the end there when it's coming together that it was Louis talking to him. Armand was bamboozled there at the end 🤣
The stories about Daniel that Armand are reciting ...yes, they happened. The one about having sex w a girl who had a paper bag over her head & cried? Ugh. Molloy isn't a vampire but that doesn't make him any less of a monster, IMHO.
big oof, I love Daniel so I was fearing that the stories were true 😭 great point though, I think this show does a great job of showing that all of these characters are so heavily flawed! 🩶
Awesome video, as always. I love all the characters, including Armand. I love reactions to this episode, especially from people who hate Armand, it's so funny because I was once one of y'all. I couldn't stand Armand when I first watched S2, now I love everything I hated about him, still dont support/excuse the horrible things he does, I'm just fascinated by him.

@@yourvalentine3726 That is exactly how this particular relationship works. Armand is being abusive and using this dynamic to disguise it.
oooh very interesting point! and I totally agree! 🩶

right!? seeing Daniel start to cry there was the end of me 🤣 the acting in this show in general is next level, but especially this episode! 🩶

YES IT'S FINALLY HERE!! This is hands down my favourite episode, like my jaw was on the floor the entire time
totally agree!!! I was getting an endless amount of chills for this one! 🩶
The Talamasca took the photos. Raglan James has records of the events in San Francisco 1973.

So happy you finally got to this episode. One of the best of the series.
it's my favorite one so far! so so good! 🩶
I can’t wait for you to find out about what’s to come for Armand and Daniel and Louis
Your instincts were correct! Can't wait to go to Paris and beyond with you! BUCKLE UP!!
I'm sat and I'm buckled and I'm also terrified 😅
