It's like they don't want to sell us their toys.
origins have become creations exclusive sold only to select eight countries world wide :/ the whole situation with rokkon was a huge disappointment for majoritiy of us who live outside those select few countries... I don't know what to expect from mattel in the future and whether I'll even be able to buy those remaining origins figures from creations webshop... I don't inted to pay scalper prices for those figures..
Well I live in France and should have been able to pre-order Rokkon. But no. I spent 30 minutes, while the product was available, to try to buy it. Each time I selected a payment method I was sent back to the home page. And I was able to buy all the previous one through Mattel site. A shame
Settle down I bet we get a Rokkon and Stonedar two pack at retail or something

@@thabos8 I am guessing its a case of 'Dont bite the hand that feeds you' going on, bad mouthing Mattel would loose UA-camrs exclusivity to info on new releases invites to shows, interview and free products id hazard a guess.
@@thabos8 I suspect many small UA-camrs who are wanting increased viewer counts, patreons, income need or would like the exclusivity/freebies that Mattel, Hasbro or other brands can throw their way. Pixel Dan isnt small subscriber count wise but has built relationships with all these brands over decades and wouldnt want to upset the apple cart too much id suspect, he has a family to feed.
This figure looks amazing! I wish Mattel would do made to order preorders for Origins figures. They’d still be exclusive and then everyone who wants them would be able to get them. Having such a limited window of opportunity is disheartening.

It was up for pre order for over 2 hours. Plenty of time to get one. Much more time than the last couple MC releases.

I completely forgot that this was going on sale. I had a reminder and every thing set on my work computer, then I ended up missing work that day. So bummed I missed out on it.

There were more than just a few rare misses in Classics. Not counting the backwards shoulder fiascos (plural), there was the King Hiss upper torso that sucked and came on a later figure instead,She-Ra's head having a hole in it when wearing her mask, and more. Feel free to add your own to this post, but they slipped up quite a few times.
The backwards shoulders were definitely a manufacturing mistake and if it was caught in time, it wouldn't have been an issue. She-Ra having a hold in her head isn't an issue. Her tiara wasn't meant to be removed. As with the 200X King Hiss not coming with his snake half, that was definitely a stupid and they could have avoided that if they didn't have Hiss come in a 2 pack with Snake Armor He-Man.

It's interesting that MC is moving so slow on these figures. Rokkon, Sy-Klone, Extendar, and Night Stalker were all previewed at SDCC last July, and they're finally just getting around to Rokkon. I'm not even seeing an Origins release for March 2024, so at this rate, we'll have the entire vintage line in 20-25 years? It will be nice to enjoy the Meteorbs as a senior citizen, I guess!
Yep i agree, however they do have that Mattel March event coming up which could shed some light on it. I like some space between releases to save up and afford them but not 6mths odd.
Given that the Meteorbs were originally Bandai creations, I doubt we'd see ever them.

My guess is that the naked Stratos wave is what utterly killed the Masters of the Universe Origins line at retail, much in the same way the Darkseid peg warmer may have killed the Super Powers line back in the 1980's. One wave doesn't sell and collects dust, the retailer will not restock.
What I wanna know is why do the retailers hold onto that damn wave when they've clearanced out numerous exclusives and newer Masterverse waves after only having them out for a month.
Not really. There were another 7 waves released at retail after the naked Stratos wave.
@@SuperEgor01Yeah, but most stores never got those later waves in because they couldn’t get rid of the inventory they already had tons of. My Walmart consistently had Wave 7 in stock for nearly two years before finally dropping it altogether. That’s the point.

Hello Pixel Dan, I'm from Brazil, I really like your channel and I'm a collector of the MOTU Origins line, and I was very disappointed with Mattel Creations for not releasing it for sale in other countries, including Brazil. I was hoping to purchase this figure and unfortunately it wasn't possible. Based on your analysis, the figure looks really cool. Congratulations on the channel!
I think they've still got a few Origins guys going in as exclusives to physical retail stores, at least it was teased that Terroar and Lord Gr'asp would be coming to Target, and Necro-Conda going to Wal-Mart, if I'm not mistaken.
Last I heard all 3 are Walmart only. Which if Duplico was any example should be horrible to fine aside from scalpers

I only had Stonedar growing up but loved him. So happy for this new version. I wish there was a little less silver on the rock but the silver does look great
I am 100% certain Mattel gave the middle finger to the collectors in all but 10 countries in the world because they underproduced Rokkon and possibly plan to do the same with other Origins figures until they finish the line. The thing is, if they didn't cut off the rest of the world from ordering from Creations, Rokkon would be out of stock in a matter of minutes, and customers from US would cry about it and Mattel certainly don't want that... 🙃
Now, how do I know this was the case? Well, if you connect to the creations website from one of the countries they "can't" ship to, they will check your geo location based on your IP address and all the figures on the site will be displayed as out of stock to you, so you won't even be able to order the figures to a friend's or family member's address in countries they can ship to!!
If there was a genuine reason that suddenly made them lost the ability to ship to all but 10 countries in the world, there would be absolutely no reason to prevent buyers from other parts of the world from making the order to addresses in countries they can actually ship to. 🤬🤬

That‘s nonsense. The international shipping issue affects complete Mattel Creations and not only MotU products - so please stop spreading these conspiracy theories. Do you really think they stop selling Hot Wheels and Monster High because of too few Rokkons? MotU collectors really think they are the center of the world. The IP-based geoblock is just a workaround to prevent orders from the countries they can‘t currently ship to while having exceptions for a few countries. They can‘t solve it otherwise obviously. The alternative would be the complete deactivation of international orders like it was for five days in February.
This is not true! I have ordered Rokkon from Croatia (croatian IP address) to my friend's address from Germany.
@@melkor2301 that is a fair point as I haven't really bothered checking stuff other than MotU, but my question still stands, what is their reasoning behind using geo-ip tracking and blocking everybody that's not living in one of the ten countries they can ship to, from buying items and shipping them to friend's, family member's or mail forwarding addresses in countries they are able to ship? That is something I have never seen and there are plenty of web stores that ship to fairly limited list of international destinations.
Scratch that, it seems they went back to shipping to US only. This is hilarious. 🤣
@@melkor2301I live in France, with a french internet provider and still wasn't able to pre-order Rokkon. It let me put in my basket, select shipping and then it crashed. I'm pretty sure something else happened that day.

Mattel Creations is a MASSIVE middle finger to everyone not living in the 8 countries they ship to.
So if you’ve patiently collected the whole line in Australia, guess what? Either pay the massive scalper tax or never finish the line.

Figures that should be in stores are online exclusives. Figures that should be online exclusives are in retail stores. My condolences to anyone that wasn't able to get him. Unlike most toy collectors, I actually think everyone should get a chance to buy things for themselves and their kids. I know, how dumb of me.
Mattel Creations sucks. We don't even get an option to ship to South Africa...hence my collecting this line is over. So sad...had huge expectations for some of these last characters. Damn.
Too bad this figure was not available for us LatinAmerican fans.. even when I have a legit address available registered in my account and a US citizen family living there...hope we can get a second chance to get it..

It's too bad...ha....that the rest of the figures would be on Creations especially since there hasn't really be any control on the bots. The card art looks great and that's cool seeing Granita on the comic. I've never had Stonedar or Rokkon as a kid so this will be a fresh figure for me. I wish they would do the rest of the figures like they did Grizzlor and Wun-Dar. I'm glad you're showing Rokkon closes up. I've seen some people post theirs isn't doing it all the way. They may have never played with Transformers ha ha. So now we can say, Transform and Rokkon! That's cool Mattel was thinking about storage back then ha ha.

Stonedar and rokkon were two of my favorite figures when I was a kid. The classics ones were terrible, but I'm really excited for this guy to arrive. He looks great!
What retailers are carrying the Cartoon Collection? I haven’t seen them anywhere.

I love how Mattel says "to finish out the line" betting they will make a Granita and yet have still failed to make an action figure of the 200X sorceress.
I'm paused at 2:22 and idk if ur gunna say this but I should probably do it before u do lol: I noticed how the packaging artwork is very Meteorbs-core AND the third picture of him isnt even completely transformed, which leaves room for the figure itself cuz yk theyre leading to the figure and its so cool I love it

Even Big Bad Toy Store haven't been able to fulfill their pre-orders for the last of the retail stuff. They cancelled my Snake Teela, Randor 200X, and my mini comics Man-E-Faces. And I pre ordered them the day they went up. Now it's even harder, because Mettel only has them available for a half hour max. I'm pretty much done with this line!! It's unfortunate.
Classics, I agree and don’t display my stone warriors because of that reason.
Rokkon is awesome! I love that it still has all of the Origins articulation and modular parts while also having the ability to transform. That’s a shame though about not quite being able to mix and match the parts with other figures. So, what’s the point, other than being able to mix and match with other comet warriors, I guess? Still though, I’m glad I was able to get him! I had a lot of fun with both Rokkon and Stonedar as a kid!

I never had Rokkon as a kid so getting him now I was shocked how little he is compaired to other figures. I did go in and paint his butt silver so when he folds up he isnt showing those orange cheeks, hehe. It did take me a little bit to get him flexable enough to fully fold up cause he was a bit stiff out of the box. hes a really cool figure and I hope we get Granita after Stondar which im proabably more excited for over Rokkon.
Mattel screwed over international collectors for Rokkon by not having their shipping in order.
Does the radar dish on the original loosely spin like that? I feel like that’s an artifact of them not chroming it, like if it was, the added thickness of that chrome would have kept it snug but they cut it.
I *think* the vintage was also spinning… not 1000% sure but I had Stonedar, and I feel the dish was spinning. It’s like a radar moving around 😃
I own almost the entire Origins line. This is the first time a figure breaks just bending the articulations. The right knee broke. I glued it back but now my Rokkon doesn't articulates in the right knee. :(
I have dropped this line because it is no longer possible to buy the figures I want, they are either exclusive or just not available in my country. Oh well.
Tottaly agree with you for the comparison. I also ahve all versions and I think the same.
Classics cannot do what Origins do for Rokkon because it will compromises the aesthetic imho. Oh subscribed also to the new channel.

No worries to have about Stonedar- he will be made as Mattel promised to FULLY FINISH the vintage line. I feel like most people haven’t gotten the memo yet about this. Stop worrying lol!
I have not been able to find any figures at retail since the wave with Jitsu and Buzz-off...It was just frustrating in general to collect this line but I tried my best when they WERE available on sites like Amazon and BBTS. Thats how I got most of my Sun-man sub set of figures... The final blow was making Duplico a Walmart exclusive...I decided to abandon this line as there was no point in collecting something that Mattel seemed to purposely make difficult to do so.
Who is the bad guy in the background of the comic book is it supposed to be hordak

Echoing many others, it's sad to see how mattel mgmt chose to go forward with origins. Excluding so many fans worldwide is a slap on the face for many. I'm luckily in one of the few fortunate countries, but it would have saved a lot of face if they'd tried to go with MTO worldwide instead of country exclusive. This will breed a lot of scalping, too. I reckon
im in the united kingdom and after seeing all the videos going up for this figure i contacted mattel and asked when mine would be sent out to be told this is a pre order item and stock will be sent out after 17th may?? so how come people already have them?

Because Mattel Creations ships product as soon as they get it from the Chinese factories. Obviously they had the first batch of Rokkons already there also because of the preorder delay and so they shipped to the first US buyers. The international shipping situation at Mattel Creations is unclear currently anyway. It seems that all open international orders are on hold from shipping because of the international order issues since mid-February. We have to wait for a clarification from Mattel when international shipping will happen again.

I'm in the US. I ordered mine the second they went on sale and Mattel told me mine was scheduled for delivery in May. I don't know how or why people started getting them immediately.
@@rbarrig Rokkon didn’t sold out in minutes. He was available for over an hour. He was shown sold out to all countries from where currently no order are possible.
i kinda wanted this guy because it's such a cool character, but because i couldn't get one, and now seeing this review and getting pretty disappointed with how the figure turned out, i'll just wait for the Masterverse one or probably make a custom, maybe a realistic looking one, that would be dope

😎 I really think the Collector friendly packaging Should also have Factory sealed tape On the packaging also! " not just the outer Cardboard box". This way, in the future, collectors know if the figure has been Actually removed from the packaging or not. I don't want to buy a figure at a high price when someone is saying that it is new in box when it actually isn't. It could have been played with or displayed in Someone's collection and then put back in the collector friendly packaging and sold to someone and no one would know the difference... Right?
No, because there are plastic pieces holding the figure in place that have to be cut in order to take the figure out of the plastic shell. You would know it was taken out if those were missing.
@ThunderCats1985 Cool, I have not bought any figures in this new collector friendly packaging. But I do not like it! That's my opinion... 😒
you would know if it was taken out of the box if the rubber bands were cut out, tape would just mess up the box, the art and the leave residue on the plastic I like the new packaging I'm not gonna open my figures but having the option is nice I wish all of the origins line was like this if I was a out of the box collector then I wouldn't damage the packaging I just dont like stuff being taped shut I wish the eternia wasn't taped shut either just had a top you could pull off
He’s pretty cool. His rock mode needs work. And the comic might be the weakest. The art is odd. Tho one of the stone warriors face looks like a nod to WreckGar

Love your infectious enthusiasm, my man! I've just recently started rewatching the 1983 He-Man and the Masters of the Universe series and I love learning about the action figures of past and present. I'm not a collector but I'm contemplating getting a He-Man. 😁💪😎 I used to have a bunch of figures based on the 1991 The New Adventures of He-Man, mostly the evil mutants, those guys were the interesting ones. 😁
Be carefull getting your first figure haha! You might not be able to stop😂. But this line is very fun! And he man plus battlecat are always easy to get for cheap

Great enthusiastic review! I like this guy! I had Stonedar as a kid, and now got Rokkon for the first time! So shiny!
But really bummed for all the (international) fans who couldn’t get him. Fans are very passionate about getting these wacky remaining guys. I hope Mattel fixes the shipping issues soon… and produces more… maybe some made to order… Or perhaps brings them back as “Fan Favorites” to retail!

I was fortunate enough to get one. Looking forward to adding him to the collections! I hope Mattel does a second run of these or an open preorder like they did for Wundar and some others. I mean why would they want to leave money on the table by leaving out collectors who didn't get it in time?

..I’m actually on the edge of getting the merch for him on Mattel Creations- I never liked any of their merch until the ones for Rokkon, they are spot on in overall design and use of the package art (I’m referring to the Rokkon T-Shirt, Hoodie, Mug, Tote Bag)

I thought the point of MOTU Classics Rokkon & Stondar having the snap-on / off rock pieces was to give them their Filmation POP look where they didn't have those Rock pieces on their limbs in "human" form...🤔

Horrible how matell treats us the international fans. 8 countries in the whole world could order this. I had to buy it at double the price on ebay. Martell sucks big time for this
