Finding ore with a Minelab 800 metal detector at a ghost town called Silver Center, where they got 23+M ounces of silver last century. email: meminerrocks@gmail.com
Ahh the ears got lowered as my dad would say.. lol.. nice pieces.. my fav was the one with the copper color..thanks for always teaching us and letting us travel with you.. love to the fam and doggies ❤️☮️
You did ok Greig. Hard to find silver at Silver center. Most of the bigger mines there had their waste rock re-worked after they shut which is probably why. Take care buddy!! 👍😁
@@meMiner Yeah that's right. The Woods vein was exposed to the elements and was a little cave when originally found. All the calcite had leached away leaving wire silver everywhere. At least that's the story! 😁
@@CoinandRelicOntario I also read something that one of the shafts was known for vugs down to 400' and the vugs had wire. Maybe a trip to find the waste by that shaft?
Sweet deal Mm, you did good.... I do Like.... SC is a bit more laid back than Coleman. I love that spot too, Nice Vid, Thanks for sharing another awsome adventure. L.
Thank you for sharing, the excitement of a treasure hunt and your knowledge of identifying the various types of rocks. Making it possible for younger generations to enjoy rockhounding as so many of us have. Thank you for sharing, hope all is good with you and yours, be well... Peace brother.
What a nice relaxing day to go for a walk with the pup, and fing a bit of silver too. Some of those pieces woll make pretty jewlery. Keep enjoying whst you do. Be happy, safe and stay healthy. ⚒😷
Hi Greig, another interesting video, those highly mineralised areas you get to are always interesting. Cutting those pieces and showing the amounts of metal ore is pretty interesting. Does prove how accurate your metal detector is. Hop you are keeping well. Keep Safe & Keep Rockin. P.S. us “mature” distinguished silvers need to look after ourselves.
It depends on the detector. The Minelab Equinox 800 that I used in this video has strange target ID. Basically, you dig any consistent target +1 or to avoid cobalt and hot rocks +2. High signals above 18 are not usually silver ore, but night be large high grade rocks. The Fisher F75 is cobalt or junk below 17. High signals are nickel, junk or high grade
Gotta say the Dolomite was the prettiest with the gradient of colours. Actually, they are all pretty. K. Enough chitchat, get out there and find us some more rocks!
amazin me.miner* i had a pair of turkish silver fruit bowls and i sold em for 400€* though not worth in portuguese silver its a work of art and all hand made they weigh 1kilo together*😊😊😊cheeers stay blessed never a disapointment
Would you be interested in knowing more about a technology that replaces the copper wiring in search coil disks and other metal detection applications? I've invented such technology. I'd like to send you an email to discuss it with you as I value your opinion. May I?
Magnifique. We like the noise of metal detectors and the silver ore stones. It's a bit far, but we want to go 😁 And the garnets are found in the same area I believe. And there are gold mines in the region too. 😳 Greed, greed. Xoxo from Ottawa
Hi, I really am enjoying your videos.Sad about the town ,seeing the remains of a once thriving, alive town. I'd love to see pictures from its glory days! Love the cut rocks with silver, would make great cabs and that small nuggets my favorite. I'm near Nashville,Tennessee, tiny town, one block, but oldest soda fountain in state or one of the oldest in the USA. I caught a look at a video and knew it was a great adventure you shared,at 73mine are few but fun too! My grandpa said live, love, laugh,it'll keep you young! Thanks for sharing!
That was really great...thanks for showing all of the cut slabs, very cool to understand how and where the metals form....and since cobalt in paint is blue it always amazes that it shows up pink. Are there 2 cobalt pigments.....funny they are so very different in appearance. Ty
@@meMiner Thank you, amazing how different cobalt oxidizes....blue to a soft pink, wow. I am in Ontario, so your episodes are super interesting for the rockhound, geology head
Hello sir I'm Shawn I'm 32 years old I love your content and Watching you metal detect. I have a passion with collection old coins, effigy rock art been doing it for years now. I wish I could afford a metal detector bc I would be out everyday doing it with my doggo. With how everything going up and inflation I can't ever afford one and it breaks my heart not being able to get out and do what you do bc I love the outdoors. I am disabled bc of my mental health is to bad to work and I just get in a funk so I watch yours videos and it helps alot but makes me want to get out there myself really does. Thank you for your content it helps me so much and I hope one day I can get a medal detector and do exactly what you do sir.
I would diff use a used medal detector I just even can't afford that money is very tight and once I pay bills what's left is for gas and stuff like that. Thank you for commenting back to me.
meMiner! So glad to see you pop up in my feed.. I had subscribed and 'rung the bell' but for some reason the bell was not active? There's no chance I unclicked that; something nefarious or just a glitch? Whichever it is they need to stop this from happening. Guess I have some catching up to do.
Loved so many of your cuts actually. Always a wonderful and fascinating video to watch for us. And educational too ☺️🙏🏻👌🙌

The dendritic patterns, in particular, are amazing even if not silver.
Thank you for sharing your experiences and finds.

I heard the best silver wire came from there. I'd love to find a ball of it. ;-)

Does silver giver you a different reading on your metal detector opposed to the other minerals?

I am just glad to see you out there and healthy again. Fun stuff.
The slices at 12:45 are gorgeous. So many potential cabs.
The "lightening streaks" are sweet.

theres a old mine from the 80s here in sudbury worth checking if you find yourself in sudbury
I will be passing thru there in a few weeks. ;-)
Too bad the weather was not very nice that weekend. Next time Sunny Skies!
50% chance I will be up. Will text you if I do.

Ah, the elusive Ladybuggite. A common indicator for precious elements!
Exploring, metal detecting…winning!!! Haha, way to make the most out of this fine province we’re in!
Got to love silver, meMINER sure as a keen eye to pick the right rocks... Beautiful even before sliced and twice as nice after...
Always look forward to your episodes as I can rightfully expect a semi-meditative state to be part of the programming. Carry on!

Some real cool finds , awesome as always, thanks
15:15 that looks kinda like you wanna smelt that one lol
With its weight and no visable silver idk. It could be some electrum with the yelllwer parts lol
I should have said something about the bright yellow. That was paint from my saw blade. ;-)
Love this and wish I was there

Metal detecting opens up new kinds of adventures. There is nothing wrong with a used detector and the prices are much better.

The slice with the crackly nicholine ( sp?) would look cool if it could take a polish. It looked like snakeskin. Thanks.
