'Complete nonsense': Moment Boris Johnson loses his cool in combative Partygate hearing

- Опубліковано 21 бер 2023
- The committee hearing into Partygate got heated near the end of proceedings as Boris Johnson and Bernard Jenkin verbally grapple with each other.
Mr Jenkin MP, who sits on the standards committee, accused Mr Johnson of taking bad advice over what to tell parliament about lockdown parties and his involvement.
Boris Johnson was grilled for four hours by MPs to ascertain whether he lied to parliament about his involvement at the Downing Street parties.

When his bluster approach fails, out comes the bully.
Boris doesn’t like it when people don’t believe his lies.
🤣🤣🤣funny thing is he doesn’t even make his lie’s believable. Covid rules for anyone could have been misunderstood or followed wrongly without knowing as they were new and temporary. But how can anyone make rules, repeat them daily yet not fully understand what they are?
its a stupid question, its like saying why didnt you buy eggs.
He really is a big, spoiled schoolchild of a "man" isn't he? A thin-skinned liar getting angry at authority for not letting him get away with his lies.
Yes.
'Man'? Churchillian? Reptilian. Head emerging from shoulders. No neck - except brass.

@@agripper4078 is Rishi Sunak too brown for you?
He’s developed a standard way of speaking that obfuscates and confuses. Sentences constructed a bit like this:
“You didn’t seek assurances that the rules were not broken”
“I did. I did seek assurances…that everyone was working hard to deal with a very difficult situation”.
And then he talks for a while until you forget the start of the exchange. What’s left is a feeling he’s confirmed something that he hasn’t.
It's a technique he learnt from the debating society, where the object is not to tell the truth but to win the argument whether right or wrong. All public schools and universities nurture the practice. I don't know why anyone trusts any politician, but especially the tories, who are led by their own brand of arrogance and hubris.
Not developed. They're specifically taught how to do this in those very exclusive schools they all attended. Our political system needs gutting, get a of the Oxford and Cambridge rugger buggers out and start again. Entrenched s*ite.
@@royfearn4345 Great points. I'm always cautious to make generalisms like 'any politician', partly because my strong hunch is that there MUST be good ones, even if a minority or small in number. But mainly because I think it lets the really egregious ones off the hook.

'Complete nonsense' is the words that can be used to describe Bunters time in his role as Prime Minister.
The question is, is it credible, plausible, or even possible that someone who both had taken part in deciding the rules and law, and not only that but presented and explained them to press and public, could not have known what was going on in number 10 clearly was in breach of the rules? Doesn't objective evidence and solid logic without shadow of a doubt show Johnson both misled Parliament, and also lied under oath in yesterday's questioning by the committee? The latter since he claimed not to realize what should have been obvious, that the gatherings breached Covid restrictions. How else could 126 people have been fined for having broken the law at those events? So at the very least Johnson should have corrected his statement to Parliament then, not waited to the publication of the Sue Gray report.
I conclude his breaches to be so serious his constituency should be allowed a say to whether they still wanted him to represent them.
The lies just trip of his tongue
Why is it only boris, why aren't they all there. Let's remember the ten's of thousands died because of tory government catastrophic incompetence and lies.
