  • 🌟 Welcome to our time capsule! 🌟
Join us on a nostalgic voyage back to 1997, when the world was a little different, and adventure awaited around every corner. Our destination? The enchanting Side on the Turkish Riviera and the mesmerizing Pamukkale.
Picture this: The Miramare Hotel nestled along the Turkish Riviera, its balconies overlooking the azure Mediterranean Sea. The salty breeze kissed our faces as we sipped our morning coffee, plotting our day’s escapades. No fancy resorts or high-rises-just the raw beauty of nature.
Our side trip to Pamukkale was like stepping into a dream. The UNESCO World Heritage site, with its terraces of white mineral-rich pools, seemed otherworldly. The government had permanently closed the pools for bathing, but we didn’t mind. We walked barefoot, feeling the ancient stones beneath our soles, and marveled at the cotton-candy hues of the travertine formations.
At our cozy hotel near Pamukkale, we soaked in a natural spa, the warm water soothing our tired muscles. And that bottle of wine? Still tucked away in our memories-a testament to shared laughter and unforgettable moments.
Venturing beyond the tourist spots, we visited a Bedouin family in their tent house. Their hospitality touched our hearts, and we learned about their nomadic lifestyle. Then, a banana plantation beckoned. Rows of lush green leaves whispered secrets of growth and abundance.
In a bustling market, we watched skilled Turkish artisans weave intricate rugs. Their hands moved rhythmically, creating stories in wool and silk. And the rug factory-a symphony of colors and patterns-left us in awe.
Ah, the retired German policeman and his inflatable canoe! He convinced us to paddle to a distant town. The ruins of ancient columns stood tall, their whispers echoing through time. No drama, just camaraderie and aching muscles from a day well spent.
As we gazed at those distant buildings, we realized we were part of something bigger-a tapestry woven by centuries of travelers. Turkey’s rich past embraced us, and we vowed to return.
And how could we forget the bustling Turkish Bazaar? A sensory overload of spices, textiles, and laughter. We haggled for treasures, our bags heavier with memories than souvenirs.
