yeah a lot of Shameless fans were pissed or straight up stopped watching when Fiona was gone. Even though she was basically the lead of the show they refused to pay her what they were paying William H Macy so she knew her value and left.
When I started with Shameless like a year ago I loved the show. Binged like hell, sometimes 12 hours a day. Loved Jimmy, Lip and Fiona. Saw that the actor of Jimmy left the show at some point and decided right then and there that I'd finish the show with him. I feel like I got the best of Shameless with that rule since I also looked up what happens with Lip and writers apparently just gave up with his character. In my headcannon Fiona left the family to be with Jimmy.
This isn’t true btw. She threatened to leave and they did end up paying her more her last season. Then she said she felt like her career was ready to move away. Was never just about the pay she simply wanted to leave, plus she didn’t really get along with the cast lol
The actress playing Fiona carried the show and they refused to pay her what they were paying Frank’s actor. I think people hate the ending because Fiona was so important to the show and the characters and for her not to come back one last time for her rap up spoiled the ending for a lot of fans.
But that was only because of covid, otherwise she would have, right? Personally I stopped liking Fiona when she and Jimmy separated :P Even though it's a trend of the show... Ian and Micky became the main to me.
Frank almost dies so many times, it seems like it should be in the finale. Through Covid though sucks. He had aggressive alcohol dementia and he was struggling last season or 2. Fiona left to start her own life after she severely started following in Frank's drunken footsteps. She hit rock bottom a lot. I liked the rapup, made me feel like the show actually ended.
Pretty sure because Fiona didn't come back for the finale.. I mean she did leave because they weren't paying her enough, so valid. But personally not anyone knowing Frank died feels weird, especially the youngest who actually cared. But in the end I can understand it might've been too drawn out. A funeral roast might've been a good send off for Frank.. lol.
I keep seeing this misunderstanding. By the last season her dispute on her payment was solved and she got what she wanted. Her dispute was s8, she got it by s9. And ultimately she still wanted to leave the show to explore diff things.
I literally watched random Shamesless clips off of just Facebook/UA-cam Reels and read the comments. After about a month, I already knew what was going on.
From season 8 I started hating on this show so much, especially due to Debbie character development. She became so insufferable, I swear I binge watched the first 7 season and then took about a full year to finish the last 4.
GUYS THAT WASNT THE END OF THE EPISODE 😭 Frank has consumed so much alcohol that when hes cremated the furnace explodes and his urn comes flying out of nowhere lmao
had its good eps but truly up to par with the show title, real people and did have quirks and mistakes but the only one kinda with there head on there shoulders Fiona😍, did everything and anything for her family and asked for nothing glad she did but kinda sad went to live her life and deserves the world nothing less.
Watching people watch this show is always shocking to me because it was the first time I seen relatable TV where they're just shown as humans and not with some rich family "helping" them or whatever we see in other things. It was the first time I felt like my childhood was 1000% represented. The way me, my friends, and our neighbors grew up. I got out years after my mom was still a frank. We took her in twice and had to make her leave to protect our kids. She was on dialysis after failure and still drank til her liver exploded with a port in her arm. Sadly though about 7 years before when she nearly died I begged for them to give her mine. They wouldn't no matter what I said. They said it'd be a waste of resources and she would drink immediately after. I said I didn't care. Which I didn't. I just wanted it to maybe be the hope she needed. My kids will never know her really. My oldest had supervised visits with her for about an hour at a time before she would have to drink to stop seizures incoming from withdrawal. The frank part of him immediately drinking isn't shocking at all.
I think after 11 seasons we really wanted a nice send off for the cast but everything felt rushed. Frank not getting the closure with Fiona really ruined this episode… it would have been better for Frank to talk to Fiona over the phone with us not hearing Fiona’s voice instead of the characters not getting closure before Frank died. Hopefully, we’ll get a Shameless movie with William H. Macy directing.
liam is not debbie’s kid, franny is. liam is their brother lmao, i think people didn’t like this episode because fiona wasn’t brought back. i liked it bc at the end of fiona’s time she was really fucking up and i think it bettered her character to not continue down the same road her parents took and just leave that life behind. it was very sad she didn’t come back though

Lowkey mad the finale is rated so low. There’s def worst eps. I understand though, the last 2 seasons were a very diff tone shift from the rest of the show. But I personally enjoyed it.
IT WASNT THE SAME INTROOOOOOOOOO DEBBIE IS THE ONE INSTEAD OF FIONAAA AND INSTEAD OF HER BROTHER ITS HER DAUGHTER IN THE NEXT CLIP AND LIAM IS PUTTING TPILET PAPER ON HER!! 😭
Watching Shameless without any context and in no order is a horrible idea and at the same time an incredible idea
really and the show is already chaotic and confusing so watching it with no context is so funny
yeah a lot of Shameless fans were pissed or straight up stopped watching when Fiona was gone. Even though she was basically the lead of the show they refused to pay her what they were paying William H Macy so she knew her value and left.
yh i literally stopped watching
not to mention the kids treated fiona so shit
@@juicypoetwell the actress of fiona treated the actual kids like shit so😭

she did not carry the show alone
yup sad everyone should be payed equally
@@Lexi2015-f she did
I always assumed not getting Fiona back for the finale played a big part in why it was rated so low
I feel like once Fiona left the show lost its soul. I struggled through the remaining seasons. Emmy Rossum was phenomenal.
the actress that plays fiona was gonna come back for the finale but due to covid and scheduling problems she could'nt
Hey guys, you should totally watch The Substance! It’s amazing!
Just watched that last night and whoa…
Frank almost dies so many times, it seems like it should be in the finale. Through Covid though sucks. He had aggressive alcohol dementia and he was struggling last season or 2. this is literally my favorite series ever!!!
27:46 the man is yelling in croatian, basically saying "what's the use of a red car to me? huh? you owe me money" of course cursing as well 😂

need someone to look at me the way nick looks at cory

Fiona and Carl were very close, the only ones that never truly fought with each other, sad Fiona didn't return for the finale
cory hasn’t seen shameless?? i’m actually very surprised for some reason
Is it just me or does nick look kinda like kevin especially season 1 kevin
i would love some more sporatic reactions to shameless

Could be a good idea to watch first and last of the UK version!
From season 8 I started hating on this show so much, especially due to Debbie character development. She became so insufferable, I swear I binge watched the first 7 season and then took about a full year to finish the last 4.
Screaming at how they didn’t realize Liam is a sibling not debbie’s kid lmao. He’s the baby from the pilot😭
Debbie is def the worst character

They started to sing the song “That’s the way we get by” by Spoon, also the song at the end.
GUYS THAT WASNT THE END OF THE EPISODE 😭
Frank has consumed so much alcohol that when hes cremated the furnace explodes and his urn comes flying out of nowhere lmao

liam is not debbie’s kid, franny is. liam is their brother lmao, i think people didn’t like this episode because fiona wasn’t brought back. i liked it bc at the end of fiona’s time she was really fucking up and i think it bettered her character to not continue down the same road her parents took and just leave that life behind. it was very sad she didn’t come back though
Franks dementia was sad
oh this is so perfect
nick looks extra good this video.......
Do this with The 100!!
Lip became a better father figure to his siblings as the show went on. But they needed Fiona and so did the show.
