@@Chuzzel DRM is a plague for paying customers, not pirates. Pirates have that DRM cracked normally in the first week. Everything from Hogwarts Legacy to the Darksoul games to damn near everything else on the market. Pirates will get it if they want it. It's the people who pay for it that have to deal with it's intrusion into their systems. Good games also do not need to be pirated - even WITH pirating, a good game like Hogwarts sold over a million copies on release. Palworld is cracked, but it sold over a million copies.
Bad games get pirated and noone buys them, as it should be. Good games, rare though they are in 2020+, still get bought.
Unless Sony console players get involved.

When they cost about $60-$70 a piece plus DLC content it's not a huge surprise in this economy that it's going so fast. No one can afford to buy trash content.

Disney's excuse was that the school didnt have the license or rights to stream or screen the movie for public viewing since it was a public event...
Its one thing to put it on TV during a party at your own home but its a different thing to stream or screen it at an open public event.

Gamers are winning. Slowly but surely! The trash Suicide Squad game LOST Warner Bros 200 MILLION $ And they thought it would be able to be a live service bringing them in money for YEARS to come, if that's not a win for gamers I don't know what is. Having the Sweet Baby Inc / DEI Detected groups now also help us to avoid games shoving crap politics into them as well. AAA games and companies are losing money like crazy, and this is all AMAZING for the industry because the sh*tty old needs to be torn down for the better new to rise up.
AI will be a positive in gaming, I know it. People may not like it but it's a fact that one of the reasons gaming sucks now is too many cooks in the kitchen. The best games often don't have HUGE teams.
I think it was a video of the Fallout creator talking about why games suck now, I don't remember for sure but I remember hearing about how in many game studios, the teams are so large no one person is in charge of any one thing, it's groups of people working on different things and NO one will take accountability for what they worked on because others did as well.
I heard it was so bad many would threaten to quit if they were held responsible for a part they worked on, so not having accountability is one of the problems games like Starfield are so bad. If someone does something wrong, well it could've been the other dozen people working on that part of the game, so don't point the finger at ME! Their mentality is selfish and trash, and AI will allow people to accomplish exponentially more without needing so many people who just take up time and money and confuse things more.
The funny thing is, even if the game is actually awesome now even real positive reviews would be considered shilled. By trying to avoid negative press, they will now get ONLY negative press.
There will always be critics and criticism. Banning said criticism shows just how closed-minded and narcissistic they truly are. Some of that criticism is CONSTRUCTIVE CRITICISM, but they'll never know that because they forgot what CONSTRUCTIVE CRITICISM actually looks like.

Netease is a Chinese company which explains the broken English. Why they don't hand off their press releases to a native English speaker before sending them out is anyone's guess but that's what's going on here. Given how different the laws are in China vs. The U.S. it would surprise me if "don't criticize the game" was some standard boilerplate for contracts for Chinese influencers and content creators. Hoyoverse of Genshin Impact fame has had a similar controversy recently for one of their upcoming games.

The Marvel themed overwatch looks like pretty much every other uninspired team shooter to come out in the last 5 to 10 years. Triple AAA or not.
The last time a game did this, some content creators, like The Act Man, reputation took a nose dive.
Non-disparagement agreements is another things gamers need to fight back against. Any time a gaming company has anyone sign one, expose it for everyone to see. And either boycott it completely, or let the company know you will wait for the post-release reviews to determine things.

I know a content creator who quit playing the game because the problems got to be too much and the damn thing flat out no longer works on her PC anymore. She's since shifted her channel to other interesting things and it's a small but thriving channel now.
I read somewhere that instead of characters being male and female, they can "Get others pregnant / Get pregnant / both / neither" and "Sim pees standing up or sitting down." It was a screenshot, so it was likely legit.

The major thing I don't like about access journalism and review embargoes is that it restricts freedom of the press. I always thought that if these corporations couldn't handle negative criticism, then they needed to move their headquarters to a country where people didn't have such freedoms, like China. However, seeing that Netease (a Chinese company) was involved in Marvel Rivals, this criticism ban definitely makes a lot more sense now.
The mistake was thinking someone wouldn't read the Terms and Conditions.
