    This is so fascinating.
Honestly, I am the weirdo who loves the inclusions and the stones with matrixes…on one of the heat, ear glass slumped rubies, I would have definitely preferred the ruby with the white fracture lines~obviously I would want the stone stabilized but as far as look goes, I prefer the look of the clouded compared to the treated clear red.
This is a wonderful way to learn about these treatments…I have been making jewelry for a couple years *wiring but still, putting stones together and I have wondered for several years about how the stones come to be~I realized there were processes to stabilize but did not realize the type you feature on this video.
    Thank you so much!!
I am now wanting to become GIA certified because of videos like this! Very very interesting!

No - but it is a common feature. Colour flashes are always present in these filled stones - seen edge on to the treated fracture

I free dive for treasures and I found a rose gold ruby ring and to clean it I put it in muratic acid mix with a little water and the ruby didn't get damaged oh and the said ruby is over 3ct.
So my question is that if it was a lead filled glass ruby would the acid bring about a change?

I have a ruby that had some type of treatment. I didn’t know & cleaned the piece. It’s lighter, not shiny.
It is faceted. How can I find out what type of treatment it had & can that process be repeated to restore it?
