I own a 99 DX coupe. I got sick and tired of the low horsepower D16y7 so I did a budget Vitara piston / I beam rod setup and boosted it. Now she rips and has been going strong for over 6 years. Its such a blast to drive now 😄

The rear part of tour trunk where you mentioned it was painted might be some type of sealant. These cars are notorious for leaking water in the trunk. If you look where the spare tire is located you may see rust.
The logbook was probably for work. They write down their mileage so they can get reimbursed from their employer. Which is probably why it has high mileage. They drive for work like a courier.
So, I have to respectfully disagree about people speaking up when a car is priced too high. By doing so it keeps the value of the vehicles where they belong and most importantly prevents that youngin who is looking for their first car from getting taken to the cleaners. No S14 is actually worth what they are selling for right now, but they are selling for that because people keep asking for more and people keep paying more.
The difference in my case is that I specifically explained in my for sale ad that I wanted to TRADE the car. Yet people were so fixated on a price that was completely irrelevant, and the price wasn't even that insane considering the market. I've sold other Hondas for waaaaay more than I was asking for this one.
