I use fabric softener as my shaper and I love it it really softens my brushes but like you said with the soap make sure you clean it out of the brush right before you use it.

Does anyone know how to make the bristles on the brush back to its shape ? Cause I made a mistake using the metal cuticle pusher too hard and made the base hairs curly 😩😔
I use an orange wood stick when I clean it scraping is necessary. I used a metal pusher on some when I first started n I ruined some by making the basis curly lol... lesson learned

Another excellent idea! Softener is similar to ZOTE, very mild detergent yet just thick enough to keep bristles firm and clean.

Lucy, I did try the aloe Vera with my makeup brushes. And it shaped my brushes beautifully as well as leaving them soft and manageable.

Use a separate dish of monomer just as you would with a new brush.
