64 Squadron (Spitfire Mk.1's) and 615 Squadron (Hurricane Mk.1's) between 20th May 1940 and 18th August 1940. 64 Squadron were at Kenley 16/5/40 to 18/8/40 and 615 Squadron 20/5/40 to 29/8/40.
Absolutely amazing footage. This was just before the German air raid which destroyed several hangers. Wasn't this also the airfield depicted in Angels One-Five?
I disagree. You can't have anything with the word 'Spitfire' in the title without half the comments being about how no one mentions the Hurricane. What rot. Everyone mentions the Hurricane.

Just home from a walk around the airfield, never forget.
So many to so few😮
Fun fact, Kenley was theone of the main 3 fighter stations in London in ww2, not to bad for a small suburban town.
Funny, the first picture of this video was a "Hurricane"!

Some good shots of Hurricanes as well, but they don't get a mention - as usual!
