Its seems to me that the Le Creuset cast iron is thinner than the Overmont. As a matter of fact, it appears to be thinner than all the other Asia brands. (Including Lodge) I heard that is because Le Creuset uses a of better (purer) quality of iron? Yet they cook much the same as others. Or maybe their manufacturing method is better?

Le Creuset cast iron is made from a proprietary metal blend that makes it lighter than other brands, but that's all I can find. They also have brand recognition, high quality control, and pay their workers well. I think the other brands are thicker to give that same even cooking without the more expensive meal blend. But I'm just guessing here.
Another part I love about Le Creuset is that they really do last forever and have a lifetime guarantee if they don't. I actually damaged one of mine and was sent the 3.5qt you see in this video with a quick back and forth with customer service. They had me send a picture of the damage and then asked what color I wanted for my replacement (the color of my old one was no longer available) and asked me to trash the old one. It was one of the best customer experiences I've ever had!

A rather thoughtful, creative and well produced review. However, the Overmont Dutch Oven was not used for cooking and there is an absence of any analysis of the cooking performance. Accordingly, this review is devoid of substance. I have both Dutch Ovens from Le Creuset and a Belgium enamel cookware Bruxelles Ware with the name Descoware from the American Import Company D.E. Sanford Co. both brands are outstanding.

My apologies that this video didn't show all the details you were seeking. I was focused more on the overall design of the two dutch ovens. I did some simple cooking tests with the Overmont that you can see in my more detailed Overmont video: ua-cam.com/video/A0vxJ00kTlQ/v-deo.htmlsi=kiQ-Ml-kT_1qkOWf&t=138

@@alderandjade You video was very good. Generally those people looking at Dutch Oven seek to learn which product will be perform best for their money. Some people are solely interested in looks and form. However, most of folks would like to know how well the product performance as a Dutch Oven. In short how does the Overmont Dutch Oven perform against the Le Creuset - which at least for now is the standard that all other Dutch Ovens are measured. And that was the reason I watched your video. I look forward to your review on how these Dutch Ovens perform for the home cook.
