The peacekeeping missions carried out by the United Nations in sixteen conflict zones around the world, such as southern Lebanon, Darfur and Kosovo, represent a colossal budget. To meet logistics costs - fuel, food, housing, salaries - the UN has an annual budget of seven billion euros financed by its member states. A huge cake shared by thousands of companies under contract with the UN. But the latter would not always be as impeccable as one might wish.
