When I do my box braids I apply my leave in conditioner and all my oils/moisturizers with a little heat protectant and I blow out my hair then section out with the rubber bands, also try using a little bit of “Let’ Jam” on your roots before securing with a rubber band for that sleek parting look😊 it won’t shrink your hair and you’ll still get a sleek lol even with 4c hair! I have use it and have 4c hair and it works like a charm ❣️
