    Hey id really like to thank you for what you do. You are welcoming people to the hobby. When i was young and watched the..... More fortunate kids enjoy the toys, i wished to have that kind of fun. I'm 35 now and do okay for myself. Granted my rc budget is limited, i appreciate the knowledge you provide. I finished my slash project a couple years ago. I began a trx4 journey that is almost theeeeeere. Got my girlfriend and her daughter a gen 8. You inspired me to perpetuate the hobby. Thank you Sir. You truly made something wonderful for me.

    Thank you - love your videos and insights. I have an XLH Q901 and feel it is a very balanced and fun unit to run. You will wreck the tires soon and the shocks will make a big difference.

    $95 for a fun, fast 4X4 "Buggy" is definitely not bad. The "shocks" don't really surprise me. I haven't been into bashers in quite a long time, but I'd consider one as a gift for one of the grandkids. I believe they'd enjoy it, and wouldn't break it on the first day!! 😂
    We have similar backgrounds... I started in 1/10th Scale Buggies in the 80's for Team Associated, moving to 1/8th Scale Nitro Buggies in the 90's, for Team OFNA.
    Crawlers was only a recent thing, that I wish I had discovered much earlier!!

    my first "proper rc car was a cawler(traxxas trx4 sport), had a small himoto 18 scale truggy before it, well still do. ANd now building another crawler, an Unimog on MST CFX chassi, and recently got myself a traxxas bandit for fun fast yard toy, so i like to have a variety of cars and that one looks like a cute way to start the hobby if nothing else

      Exactly. So cool to try different things. And at these prices, why not. Already have lipos, chargers and tools anyway.

    Just a sort of PSA: Don't confuse this with the Xinlehong 9137 that will pop up on Amazon and Ebay. The 9000 series is the cheaper, brushed motor version (amazing to get younger kids into driving real RC's, though!). We got my 7 year old a 9137 and it's awesome for $80. We're buying two of the brushless 902's for us now. I wish more of the industry was affordable. It's ridiculous Traxxas/Axial/Kyosho are still charging $400+ for technology that can easily be retailed for under $200. Helicopters with gyro technology used to be thousands, and I can nab great RC heli's and quads for under $200 now. I hope the hobby can survive the greed.

      Hey I have both the 14440 and a XLH Q901 and they are both great. I do think that the Q901/2/3 models are better in that they are less likely to break. Yes you should upgrade the shock absorbers and maybe get a slightly bigger battery (1500mah?). Also the tires will break in time. But mine has taken an absolute beating and has been so much fun. The 14440 is great but the front swing arm pins are easy to bend, you will need to upgrade the front shock mount tower (easy to bend) and maybe also add thicker oil to the shocks. And it could really do with a bumper. Right now mine looks like the main drive train is bent but it is still going.

      For the beach , a brushless waterproof motor is a must otherwise sand gets in and kills the motor. Happened when I tried my brushed 144001 on the beach. Now thinking of getting a brushless Xinlehong q902 for the beach. Not sure if it is waterproof. Anyone got any suggestions, recommendations?

    • @thecadencer
      @thecadencer 4 роки тому

      @@Bonouka The Q902 is semi-waterproof, but the shocks do seize up when they get a lot of dirt or sand in them. It's a great car, but it does break quickly under a lot of crashing

      @@RCReviewChannel It has been called a "TRX-4 Clone" by more than one reviewer. It is advertised as 1/10 scale, but like some other Banggood rc is smaller than claimed. I will say, however- when I put it next to my ARRMA Granite 4x4, the body is longer, taller, and wider. The wheelbase and axle width are both less, though. The frame is all plastic, the body is nice for the money, the stock shocks, radio, ESC, and servo are all pretty bad. Some like the stock tires, a lot say replace those, too. Mine came to $112.63 USD including shipping and shipping insurance and was mailed from California.

      RC Review,
      Of course not everything that comes from China is crap. If that was the case we couldn’t buy anything anymore. But there are chinese and chinese products.... Chinese products that are made for foreign companies are mostly pretty good quality because their customers are americans, europeans and australians. Parts of the world that have pretty high quality standards. Those companies send employees over to China to determine and monitor the level of quality.
      A lot of products developed and produced by Chinese companies for the world market are mostly of inferior quality. Not all of it but a lot of it. That they produce a lot of crap is a known fact all over the world.
      I use the Hobbywing esc’s too. I use some chinese servo’s too. But the majority of these servo’s are crap, you have to filter the good stuff out of the heap of crap. They come for the most part from the same factories but some brands use better parts/components than others. The brand can choose the level of quality. So, even if the servo is made in the same factory they don’t have to be of the same quality. The problem for foreign companies is the way the chinese try to scam everything and everybody. Maybe it is a cultural thing but i know first hand that they lie a lot and constantly need to be monitored to keep a steady quality level.
