You could just tell he was a ballplayer by both his swing and the way he slides into 2nd during the scrimmage.
I know Hoechlin thought he looked ridiculous in that outfit, but I would climb that guy faster than a tree, despite my horrible fear of heights.

The actor Tyler, seems so *delighted* to be in this movie right here. Did he get to choose his wardrobe? He looks like he did, and is happy with everything about life in this moment. It's hilarious.

Tyler Hoechlin was offered the role of Edward in twilight but turned it down to play college baseball.

The real life character Tyler played was a 1st round pick and went on to a decent 10 year Major League career. Making an All Star Team and having a 102 RBI SEASON. Was 23rd in MVP Voting one year. Had over a thousand hits and gave back to his community hosting a Charity golf tournament that raised over 6 million for the Chileans pediatric wing at a Hospital in Houston. He is still alive and is an ordained minister. Linklater took some very cheap shots at him while using his name to promote this movie which lost Paramount a lot of money. Funny how the guys that don’t make it in Professional Baseball are so jealous. Rick Keeler one of the teams part time catchers also said the real character was a cocky guy. This was Linklater sequel to dazed and confused. This movie was a joke.
