Oh boy I miss the camping trips. With my life forcing me to move almost all over the country, I wanted to revisit my child hood idea of living out of a cook box. Thanks for the happy reminder and an idea to make two rather then one. Keep on camping.

WOW! Very nice. I have made 3 so far and the last one I made I wished I'd seen how you did the paper towel rack. I made mine out of solid wood. I planed it down until I felt there would be no strength in the woods left. I wood burned my designs into them. I also like the adjustable shelves. You never know what you might add or delete. Thanks for sharing
Dave LaFontaine, thank you. They are almost 2 years old now and have fared well. They are easy to clean since you can sweep the crumbs from one side to the other. The only issue is the sturdiness of the clasps on the outside, just make sure they are beefy since they tend to get bumped a lot.
Dinky Lawler, I drew rough plans just to get the cook stove to fit. Then I adjusted them accordingly to fit the various items inside. The total dimensions are in the description of the video above.
3 minutes of staring at the outside of the boxes during an earthquake. Interesting way of putting the stove in, I haven't seen that before and I like it. I've been racking my brain thinking of how to make a box but after this I think I will go your way with 2 boxes. Thanks for the ideas but maybe plan out the video better next time.
I figured the content of why and how was more important than my cinematography. Plus I had 20 minutes to make the video because we were headed on a camp out that weekend. Great idea though.
