Xenoverse 2 NEXT-GEN Upgrade will be releasing in less than 2 weeks! I wanted to go over EVERYTHING you need to know before it drops. I'm very confident that the upgrade will be FREE with all the DLC you purchased (Not 100% confirmation yet, so please wait for official details) and you will also be able to transfer your saved data. I also wanted to show you a gameplay concept of what the 4K resolution might look like compared to the original. Let me know if you have any other questions and I'll try my best to answer em!

It’s not like they’ll need to code it in the game it’s already there, just an extra tab to change fighting stance & style.
Add more mentors make them where you can win them from raids if they want to.
Part of PS5 update should be move all the wigs to the hairstyle avatar editor.
This also solves being able to equip more than one equipment. The fact that a wig takes up an equipment slot is ridiculous.
The fact too that they can’t make the Saiyan tail an optional tab in the avatar creation is crazy.
Guess all the Saiyans in xenoverse cut theirs to get into conton

Yeah only thing I could see the next gen version having over the current one that’s significant is that the game could be supported longer if they cut support for the current gen version sooner. I mean I doubt that’ll be the case either but you just never know with game companies these days. Maybe exclusive things like an increased chance of SSJ4 cacs because the next gen version has more power if that even has anything to do with it though I doubt that’s the case either but I’m keeping my expectations low. I’m just throwing around possibilities but I wouldn’t expect too much.

I was a little disappointed when I found out that spring actually goes all the way to June 20th in America I already feel like that I have been waiting for this DLC for way too long.
Some people pointed out that May 31st the the final day of Spring in Japan, so it's likely it will drop before June if they go by that schedule.
The final day of spring is 30th of april
It will be a free upgrade for those who already own XV2 and have a PS5 and Xbox Series X/S just like how it was for the PS5 version of Kakarot

I think the DBFZ update shading is better. And that's what I expect for Xenoverse 2. But to each their own. Thanks for answering our questions bro. I think you are right it'll look like PC version (without mods). I have the revamp mod and its amazing but I don't expect that on Current/Next gen updates.
Yeah that's cool if you like how DBFZ looks, I just heard they messed up the some textures or something lol. And yes, I do believe the PS5 version will have very small changes, it will just run better and look clearer.

Nah, you shouldn't need that if you're just transferring saved data that's already stored on your console.
I have a disc - version of Dbx2 on my Ps5, can I still have the Ps5 version of Dbx2?
Yes, I have the disc versions of both Kakarot and FighterZ and they still allowed me to do the PS5 Upgrade for free, it's just a digital version of it. Xenoverse 2 should be doing the same method.
Also VRR enabled will help run this game at an even smoother 60fps.
i wish that, if you have a bandai namco id, you could transfer your saved data from the one console version, say from xbox one, to another, say ps5, using the bandai namco id

It's crazy how it wasn't until now that I realize that the switch versión does actually reach 60 fps at least on 1v1 battles, I always used to feel the difference but for a moment even thought the frame rate was even worse and it just became more stable on those modes

Hey slo :), something just occurred to me a while ago, we know that level 199 is in the game files and that there 4 chapters to the future saga what if they split it into about 19 levels per chapter?
The resolution were hardly noticeable to me and the colors seem slightly brighter (I think). I seriously think they should’ve just done the loading times since that’s what I believe will be the main difference. Oh and the wind.

Oh don't worry Chloe, every version will still get support as new updates and DLC release. The PS4 version will still get the same DLC and patches. The PS5 version is just gonna run better and have some better upscaled graphics, but everything will still be the same.

Unfortunately you cannot transfer anything between different consoles. You can only transfer PlayStation stuff between PS4 and PS5 / XBOX ONE to Series X/S. Switch will not be receiving the next gen update to to the limitations of the device. Switch to PS5 is not possible, sorry fam.

I would assume that they will release both a physical and digital version of the Ultimate Edition. That specific version was stated to have every single DLC released from 2026-2023 (DLC 1-16), so we'll have to wait until it releases to see if they do both.
Will the upgrade also apply to the steam version?
They never confirmed anything for PC,l due to the fact that everyone has different specs, so you would need to go into the settings and change the settings to fit your own PC's power. We'll see if it gets any changed once the next official update drops before the DLC does.

Most DLC is $8-10, but this one might be more expensive because it has more content. Anywhere from $10-20 depending on how much more will get added.

Doubt it. As much as I would love for them to add Heroes content, they've already stated in an interview that they wanted to keep everything separate between the games. That's why we are getting Ultra Supervillain instead of stuff like Berserk SSB Vegeta or SSJ3 Rose Goku Black lol

Yeah better netcode with faster loading times would be great. I also hope the fix broken skills like demon flash strike so it does what it’s supposed to do. I also hope they buff some bad skills and speed up the transformation animation for beast or give it super armor that you can’t stamina break or something to make it worth using. I also hope they buff ultra instinct with some damage buffs too and make it so you don’t lose the form when you get guard broken. Just a few other nitpicks I have. I would hope those solutions would make the game a bit more enjoyable.

ngl it’s not as big as a graphics upgrade than it could be. this is bare minimum tbh. shading is still oily and awful compared to modern anime games. but idgaf about ANY of that, this update better speed up the mui and beast animations. EVERY form has been buffed at least once, those are currently the two worst forms in the game. no super souls specific to them, even kaio-ken has one and got a buff before. mui is so cool in concept, but with no damage buff or any at all, that transformation time needs to be cut down into a third of what it is shits almost unusable. been waiting too damn long for bare minimum shit tbh. we still don’t have moving tails or new hairstyles. nobody wants a FUCKING WIG
