Army MREs are very nice as someone who's done CCF a long time ago and used the 24hour ration packs I can confirm they are lovely but most of the camping MREs are nowhere near the army quality.

Every time we go on a hike,my dad packs them. They are so good. Like whenever my sister cooks I would rather eat that. 😬😂
MRES arent that bad especially when you are out in the field training they taste pretty good when your hungry lol

Being a military member and having eaten many of the MREs they have had I can attest you didn’t have the better of them. Try the chicken pesto pasta that one is my personal favorite of them!
WyntersEnd I am not of military personnel but I have in the past had an MRE and had a great experience, I feel like they already had a stand in judgment before even trying the food.
I had MREs and they seem like decent meals
though most of the drink i got was good

My father is military and he "Smuggled" some MREs, and the MRE with the chicken fajita with the jalapeno cheese spread is just amazing

I've honestly never seen those types of foods in my MREs. Mostly things like maple sausage for the breakfast warm meal, spice pound cakes for the desert, crackers or stale bread along with various condiments for I guess the side dish, Beans or like a chili sorta thing for the supper warm meal.
Honestly, most MREs actually taste good aside from the "apple sauce".

Most MREs come with a little bag that heats and expands if you pour water on them the are in the MRE bag. They use chemical reactions with some king of metal

Some generals wont let the soldiers eat them warm because of the steam it could give their location away.... So many people do have to eat them cold

My dad was stationed in Honduras and he didn’t get a lot of mres because he was stationed at an established base, but when he did he use to give them to the locals especially the kids. Also he became the villages “dentist” by that I mean they all lined up and he pulled out their unhealthy teeth with a pair of pliers lol

You guys should make "Ranger pudding". My boyfriend was a Ranger and made it for me and it's surprisingly pretty good. You mix the chocolate flavored (or chocolate hazelnut flavored) powdered drink mix, the packet of instant coffee, the packet of powdered coffee creamer and the sugar packet (all from the MRE bag) with some water and mix till its a pudding consistency. He said they made those alot in the field. This was a great video as per usual ❤
