What is the point of the judges’ scores if they don’t have more weight than the public voting? Losing Juan Pablo tonight causes this show to lose yet more credibility and makes a joke of the dance competition aspect of the show. Please DWTS revamp your scoring system for the contestants.!
It isn't even 50/50. The problem is that judges only get a 1 thru 10 vote and no higher than 10 but the public has no limit on how many votes can be given. As has been shown many times, the judges votes are really irrelevant. It can be fixed by having a ranking system. The judges rank the dancers in order than the public votes rank the dancers in order. The dancer with the combined lowest rank order goes home. Simple and easy. In fact, this was how it was done on Season One.
How does it cause the show to lose more credibility? This has been happening since season 1 😂😂, it's been 26 seasons later and it's ratings are still impressive in the streaming era. This show obviously has always been about popularity+danceskill.

juan, brandy, and simone were all the same. they all got perfect 30s at semi finals and then got eliminated over the worst dancer (bobby, bristol, and david ross)
Juan Pablo and Tinashe were both shocking, but I don't think anything was as outrageous as when Wanya Morris was eliminated. He was, by far, the best dancer of that season and he got eliminated *before* the semi-finals, I'll never forgive ABC for doing that, in over a decade of watching. Juan Pablo had me angry as hell though.
Wanya Morris was eliminated too soon as well, after having all perfect scores in the semi finals. ABC just wanted Ginger Zee to advance that season, since she was on GMA. Wanya was one of the worst eliminations ever for me.
Vote Evanna & Keo! It has been a joy to watch Evanna's transformation from the beginning to now and Keo played a pivotal role in her transformation. He has also never been this far in the competition and deserves a mirrorball!

There’s something so special and different about watching a Latino or Hispanic dance on DWTS compared to other celebs. Literally this runs in his blood which makes dance even more special for Juan Pablo to be able to represent his culture. He was a one of a kind. Best celeb dancer to grace DWTS stage and the judges knew it too.
I'm honestly fed up with how this show is run now. It was original created as a competition to see who the better dancer could be, not who could be the most likeable. It also was based more on the judge's scores and not the fans' and that's how it should've stayed. I'm sick of people getting eliminated based on popularity instead of based on the level of talent. I think you should make up your mind because if you split votes and vote for both Milo and Evanna, that could cancel them both out and Alexis or Bobby could win and since Bobby's fans are going crazy with the voting, Bobby could win if you split your votes. Although you could put in a few for either Milo or Evanna then a whole bunch more for either Milo or Evanna.

Honestly, I was just thinking that last night. I'd love to watch a season with people who made semi-finals or maybe finals to get a higher caliber of dance ability on the show. Kinda like how Survivor has had a few seasons where they bring back past players, and I feel like you end up seeing a higher caliber of strategy because everyone has experience. I'd love to see a season of DWTS with past contestants who have done well. They would already have a basic understanding of dance, and maybe to make it fair, the show makes sure no one has the same partner the second time around (or on the other side, try and make sure everyone has the same partner as their first season if they can make that work). I always vote, not who my favorite star is, but who I think is objectively the better dancer, and I think a season like that would allow for a very high level of performance and could only be good for ratings.

Agree 1000%. I've unsubscribed on here and unliked the DWTS FB page as well. I've never been this angry over someone going home before. This was unbelievably wrong. I don't care that it's a "popularity contest." Everyone must have blinders on because Juan deserved to make it to the finals. He's one of the best dancers I've seen on the show in a very long time. I rooted for Meryl, Alfonso, Rumer, Bindi, and Laurie and each of them won. I was sure Juan would at least make it to 2nd place. An injustice for sure. I won't watch the rest of the season and won't be keeping up with the show anymore. I've had it.

Three out of four of the couples were the right choices. Milo & Witney and Evanna & Keo absolutely deserved to make it to the finale. And say whatever you want about the obviously fake showmance. Alexis & Alan deserved to make it, too. They've been excellent throughout the season. But one couple _should not_ be here. Bobby & Sharna should've left with Joe & Jenna this week, _not_ Juan Pablo & Cheryl. I love Sharna, but Bobby has been only barely passable as a dancer, while Cheryl has helped Juan Pablo to shine all season long. The finale should have Juan Pablo in it, not Bobby. Unfortunately, you can all blame the rabid country music fanbase for Bobby getting this far. If anyone relating to country music is on the show, you'd better _expect_ that fanbase to be rabid. It sure as hell is on _The Voice_ and _American Idol_ . . . so of course it'll be deadly on DWTS, too. Sadly, I think that voter complacency also kicked in. The voting system is badly broken. The fact that Joe made it past week 2 and Bobby past week 3, tells us that viewer votes carry to much weight. It is past time for a change. This season has been one of the worst about sending good dancers home while bad dancers stayed, but it has been a problem with show expessally in the last few seasons.
They audience votes should NOT count as much as they do. If someone gets high scores they shouldn’t be at risk of going home. I understand they don’t want it to be too predictable, but come on. Joe never made it to jeopardy until now really, and he got the worst scores every week.

Yes, a new season especially for Juan Pablo and Cheryl. I will even pay to watch them again 😢. I did not get enough of their dancing, mirror ball or not, and I will never get enough of their dancing.
Honestly, I was just thinking that last night. I'd love to watch a season with people who made semi-finals or maybe finals to get a higher caliber of dance ability on the show. Kinda like how Survivor has had a few seasons where they bring back past players, and I feel like you end up seeing a higher caliber of strategy because everyone has experience. I'd love to see a season of DWTS with past contestants who have done well. They would already have a basic understanding of dance, and maybe to make it fair, the show makes sure no one has the same partner the second time around (or on the other side, try and make sure everyone has the same partner as their first season if they can make that work). I always vote, not who my favorite star is, but who I think is objectively the better dancer, and I think a season like that would allow for a very high level of performance and could only be good for ratings.

Agree 1000%. I've unsubscribed on here and unliked the DWTS FB page as well. I've never been this angry over someone going home before. This was unbelievably wrong. I don't care that it's a "popularity contest." Everyone must have blinders on because Juan deserved to make it to the finals. He's one of the best dancers I've seen on the show in a very long time. I rooted for Meryl, Alfonso, Rumer, Bindi, and Laurie and each of them won. I was sure Juan would at least make it to 2nd place. An injustice for sure. I won't watch the rest of the season and won't be keeping up with the show anymore. I've had it.

Three out of four of the couples were the right choices. Milo & Witney and Evanna & Keo absolutely deserved to make it to the finale. And say whatever you want about the obviously fake showmance. Alexis & Alan deserved to make it, too. They've been excellent throughout the season.
But one couple _should not_ be here. Bobby & Sharna should've left with Joe & Jenna this week, _not_ Juan Pablo & Cheryl. I love Sharna, but Bobby has been only barely passable as a dancer, while Cheryl has helped Juan Pablo to shine all season long. The finale should have Juan Pablo in it, not Bobby.
Unfortunately, you can all blame the rabid country music fanbase for Bobby getting this far. If anyone relating to country music is on the show, you'd better _expect_ that fanbase to be rabid. It sure as hell is on _The Voice_ and _American Idol_ . . . so of course it'll be deadly on DWTS, too.
Sadly, I think that voter complacency also kicked in. Many people expected that Juan Pablo would make the finale, so they didn't vote. But THIS IS WHY YOU VOTE, ANYWAY! To stop this from happening!

The voting system is badly broken. The fact that Joe made it past week 2 and Bobby past week 3, tells us that viewer votes carry to much weight. It is past time for a change. This season has been one of the worst about sending good dancers home while bad dancers stayed, but it has been a problem with show expessally in the last few seasons.
They audience votes should NOT count as much as they do. If someone gets high scores they shouldn’t be at risk of going home. I understand they don’t want it to be too predictable, but come on. Joe never made it to jeopardy until now really, and he got the worst scores every week.
