(Whitney Houston voice) Chen is a SINGER who can SING and you’re 110% right he is also a consummate performer, and his stamina is crazy, like this man can deliver high energy performances and crazy hard vocals (he gets many of the demanding singing parts, including almost all the crazy hard high notes) and dance for 3-6 days straight and not show any strain. And like he has, just, 0 fear. Complete confidence in his singing, dancing, etc resulting in an insane amount of stage presence. Even among EXO he stands out in this regard because no other member is doing soulful ballads one day and then rocking out in front of tens of thousands another day. And although you just reacted to 2018 Chen, rocker Chen actually goes back to 2014, when just 2 years after debut he was given a rock solo to perform on Exo’s first concert tour. I totally recommend you react to it, “Chen Uprising Japan,” to see how rookie Chen’s “rock debut,” we’re shook til this day… Oh btw Chen’s new Japanese album (Japanese solo debut) Polaris has some jrock tracks I think you should check out, just search for the lyrics videos on yt: Break Out and Free World.
