I love your videos, but I Also agree with some people in the comments. You are eating some of the more unusual stuff. Next time you should bring someone that knows the market or the foods there and ask them what you should try. And by the way when you guys made those faces and laughing, that would really offend people that are there. I’m just looking out for you guys, because I love your videos, but this one was definitely in poor taste. It doesn’t bother me, but I definitely know it will and would bother and offend other people. The fact that they tried the pig's foot and really dove into it shows that they are willing to try new things. Every culture eats something that seems disgusting to other cultures is simply a fact. The lack of consideration of various cultures/people and their foods in this video is honestly disgusting. Lots of xenophobia and improper behavior putting open food back into the warmer violating food code and just being a nuisance for no reason.

I had to unsubscribe and remove them from my recommendations. It isn't too much to ask to be respectful. If they were comedians, they would get the side eye. But this is who they are. There are enough content creators out there who can fill their spot and I'm sure they won't miss me.

As an asian, these asian markets doesn’t do justice except for the HK Market. Fyi, the asian foods you guys reviewed are actually from the East Asian region. You should definitely try South East Asian foods/supermarkets next time if there’s any 😂. Sorry for the bad experience you guys had with some of the foods😢

I've been to 2 of these stores and Brennan touching everything must have really irritated a lot of ppl. They sometimes look at you weird because you keep touching stuff and not taking it.

I usually love your videos but this one hits kinda differently. When trying new foods, we always want to be more respectful to the different cultures and do research on whatever it is you're trying. Obviously, you don't have to like a certain cultures food. Everyone has a right to their own opinion, especially on food, but including you guys gagging and making racial jokes isn’t all that funny.
The last store that you went to is H-Mart and they usually have amazing hot food during lunch time since by dinner time, all the hot food, sushi, or kimbaps(Korean rice rolls, kinda like sushi but without the fish) are sold out. Also, Indian food IS asian food so I don't know why that and asian food was considered different categories. The video idea was good, but the way you guys went about filming it wasn't. I hope you retry these markets in the future by knowing what you're acting looking for and eating.

A lot of other food oriented UA-camrs do that and it usually works out very well. One that comes to mind could be Jolly/Korean Englishman. It probably would’ve gone over better with the people shopping b/c although I do enjoy Brennen’s and Jake’s content, they were a bit uncourteous.
This whole video was very odd. When I heard the comments on the pork feet and the whole fish.. I was shook I’m Hispanic, and in our culture we have those type of foods too so I don’t understand how that could be so odd because you literally see those things at Vallarta. I have tried different types of Asian food and wasn’t expecting this. Definitely think they need to redo this video and try better.

I've seen foreigners react way worse here in Bangkok. This was actually pretty tame and hilarious. We have a lot of those foods available that they are trying out, and I can agree with them on some.

That green tea/matcha cake is a slice of Baumkuchen which is a cake essentially baked on a stick, in layers (roll stick in cake batter, bake, dip, bake, dip, bake ~ repeat to desired thickness) to imitate the rings of a tree. Super soft and super delicious.

Abalone is very tough. You slice it thinly, then pound it with a meat tenderizer hammer or a wooden mallet to relax and tenderize the meat, being careful not to pound it so hard that it shreds or falls apart. Then I've always had it battered and fried. It's pretty inedible if you don't tenderize it.
I went to a Hispanic supermarket and didnt realize it was also a restaurant. It was kind of hidden but then I asked and I tried it out. Best hispanic food I’ve ever had. The lengua, sopas, fried whole fish was spectacular.
Trying new things is great but be respectful to other cultures and don’t full on gag or spit out the food! Just because you don’t know what foods are and pick the wrong things to eat doesn’t mean the whole place is bad!
With the Mexican market, YOU’RE MEXICAN - it was good because you know what the foods are…
With the Indian Markets, YOU ASKED THEM WHAT WAS GOOD TO EAT so that’s why those things were good!… Why not do the same thing here and either bring an Asian friend with you OR ASK SOMEBODY WHAT’S GOOD TO EAT & HOW YOU SHOULD BE EATING IT! Don’t just pick random things and then gag because they don’t taste how you expect… most of the items you chose for the dinner section were either meant to be side dishes or meant to be reheated a certain way in order to eat them! Do your research or bring someone from that culture with you so they can guide you through that culture’s food!
I usually love your content & you’re usually funny but this video made me so angry and offended… and honestly I am so tired of seeing and hearing Jake (and you do it too) gagging and nearly puking when you eat things you’ve never had before… there is a much better way to express that you don’t like something without being so incredibly disrespectful… your behavior throughout this whole video was just disgusting and you should be ashamed of yourself.
You should do an apology video and try this kind of food again but with guidance from a friend or from another UA-cam creator who can show you the right way to eat things & what to eat.
Also, as for the desserts that you chose at dinner - those weren’t authentic Asian desserts at all - those were European style desserts because the British & French were in power in Asian countries so the food was influenced by those cultures… I wouldn’t count those as “Asian” desserts at all…

They only really gagged at the pork belly which was crunchy and the fish and it's a cultural thing. I cook lamb stomach wrapped in intestine and sheep's brain etc but no way I'm eating it. Plus where I am people like to crunch the cartilage on the end of chicken bones and the sound makes me gag. Also dried whitebait very very fishy but my son's love it. If I can't eat it why would I expect someone from a different culture to like it. Plus if you follow they've eaten whole chicks in the egg and grubs and congealed blood. I enjoy your videos but this one hits differently. I know you’re trying different culture foods. That’s awesome. Everyone is entitled to their opinions. You don’t like the food then that’s your choice. But I personally think you need to give H Mart another chance. Bring someone you know that shops there and have them pick the foods for you and they can explain what it is and how you eat it. Well when you say “Asian” it’s not only Chinese or Korean. I suggest you guys try Filipino food. Try Seafood city market there are a lot of choices. From Grill city, Jollibee, Chowking, Goldilocks etc.. If looking for dessert try halo-halo or Red Ribbon for desserts!

You really need to go back to H Mart with someone that knows the food to select good stuff to cook yourself, even if it’s super easy ramyeon. Or if you can’t cook, at least go when the food court is open and get fried chicken, Korean hot dogs, jjajangmyeon, bibimbap or any other comfort food that will have you dancing while you eat. By picking the most random and out there items you could find, you did a disservice to yourself and the culture as a whole and are missing out on some of the best food ever. Calamari is italian or greek dish. Chineese fried squid fresh is completely different, iv never seen lemon squeezed on it either. Its super super good fresh
The only time I had squid was when I had to dissect one on a school trip and then we all had to eat some afterwards. It definitely didn’t make it appetizing after being instructed to use its plastic-like innards as a pen with its ink sack!

HMart has really good stuff! You just have to be get food that you are more familiar with. Fish sauce smell is quite potent if you did not grow up smelling it
