I listen to these episodes on Radio Classics on Sirrius radio. I cannot believe the number of episodes that had John Dehner in the cast. THAT man, as well as William Conrad, Parly Bear and Howard MacNair were prolific radio performers in those days. Parley and Howard both went on to perform on The Andy Griffith Show as the mayor and Floyd the Barber, respectively. Very good performers.
@@kurtpeterson315 Who called him a bad person? You don't see the humor in Matt Dillon calling one brand the best one season and a different brand the next? To you it's not even funny after three or four brands?
My dad smoked filter less Chesterfields from the WWII years until he died at 77 yrs. old. He died from complications of diabetes. Yes, he also had a real smokers hack, and had respiratory problems. However, he never listened to me about quitting, and I was a Respiratory Therapist.
@@howardoller443 really?! I agree that it's unnecessary, but what's the point in saying something to someone on UA-cam?! If it was a public comment or in the company of certain parties, sure, I'd say something myself. But to say something here makes you look more strange than ole Ron Miller!! Besides, who's it hurting?! Anyway, all the best!!
@@JustinCaudill14 Your comment defies common sense and even contradicts itself. In the end it also denies or at least avoids standards of behavior and language in a public setting. You say "what's the point in saying something to someone on UA-cam?!: directed at me, but apparently and ironically you are not taking your own advice. Think about it. Further, you added "If it was a public comment or in the company of certain parties, sure, I'd say something myself.". Think about it dude, can you say "Matt Dilon is the f*cking man" in the newspaper, or on prime-time network TV or on the radio? No, of course not, and there's a reason for that. Lastly, you ask "Besides, who's it hurting?". The fact that you ask that question genuinely reveals how clueless you are about public moral standards and common decency, my friend.

Another great western, just as good as the TV series
I haven't watched the tv show much but I'd say the radio version is much better
I've only listen to two of these and they're almost Word for Word the same as the ones on TV
That's because a lot of the tv episodes were adapted from the radio show.
Excellent
One of the best written. Current writers are just incapable of writing of the caliber
Witness tampering 😆
The cigarette commercials are unbelievable! What a sad thing they made it sound like they will improve your health ...bad bad bad
Get over it. That's life in the big city! Do you let mass media influence your life? If so, that is your own fault!
These were times before the dangers of cigarettes were known.
How many cigarettes brands has Wm Conrad endorsed as "best?"
Who cares? He's selling a product. Does that make him a bad person?

In olden days, cigarettes were healthy
Oh, nothin' better for ya!
And these days Weed is considered healthy. Go figure
You can tell by the way Matt complains, they didn’t pay squat to a sheriff.
To the Chesterfield smokers, RIP.😬🤢
My grandma smoked filter less Chesterfields for 60 years and is in perfect health!

Matt Dillion is the fucking man.
Please watch your language. Your obscenity is unnecessary and inappropriate.
If you’re gonna swear….
SPELL HIS NAME RIGHT,
YOU IDIOT!!!
