    Hi Tay, I just bought a cricket for my cake business. This tutorial was so helpful. Also, I'm a guy who uses this. My wife wondered why I wanted one. So happy to get started.

    I recently purchased my very first Cricut machine & bought the Cricut Maker, & I was totally lost on what was the 1st step of doing a project. Your video helped me so much. I would watch you step by step & I opened up another window & would do the same thing & took lots of notes. I think I am ready to do my 1st simple project. Thank you so much for this tutorial.

    Thank-You so much for your tutorials. Since, I have had my Cricut for about 6 months now, I have passed the newbie stage. These beginner level +++ tutorials have really helped me learn a lot more. I am feeling a lot more confident and having fun.

    Thank you again!!! I have been terrified that I would mess up so bad lol. I have been buying vinyl, transfer tape and all for about 4 months. Then my hubby and sons bought me a Cricut Air 2 Explore last week. Watching you, I feel more confident that I can do this! And, YES, I will try with paper first. Thank you soooo sooooo much and Merry Christmas to you & your family xoxo

    Very helpful and great for a person who is already familiar with computers and these features in other apps. I felt like it wasn’t so basic and slow that I became bored. It was easy to follow when you bounced between concepts. Thanks!

    It would be more helpful if you designed something and then continue all the way to end-printing and putting onto project.

    Thanks for doing this. I have had my Cricut for a year and still have not used it. I had always used my cameo and have that software down and just haven't delved into the Cricuit software yet. My plan is to do that this week and start using it. This is very helpful to get me going.

    If this is for beginners I think i must need an infant tutorial ;) Was thinking about getting a circuit but all this is way over my head. I am not very tech savvy at all and I am not sure I would ever be able to master these beginner techniques. Do you have any suggestions for true beginners and where to start?

    They must have updated the software because my menus don't look at all like yours. I'm figuring it out, but it is more challenging. Also, if you can figure out a way to highlight your curser it would really help. I find myself replaying often just to figure out where the curser went!

    I just received my first Cricut Maker. Not knowing Design Space is humbling, to say the least. When you're making your videos, it would be helpful if you would tell us where you're clicking and moving the mouse/pointer instead of saying "right here", "over here", "over there" as it would be easier to follow/keep up with. Your knowledge is vast and I'm eager to learn more!

    This was very good. I was becoming very frustrated with the software and I have been watching the cricut tutorials. They move along pretty quickly and even if you pause the video , they do not go into detail like you did on this video. I appreciate this so much. I do have one question, can you go from slicing a layer back to wanting to weld it and so on? I have not been able to figure this out.

    Hi I find it really difficult to work with score lines as they are grey in colour and very straining to the eye. Also it fades away when page is zoomed out. Could you ask the cricut ppl to give a black colour option please. Same with grids and numberings - they strain the eye a lot. I feel black gives the best contrast and should be the first choice in design and cutting space too. Thanks

    Thank you so much for all of your videos and tutorials! I love them! I have a question about using design space, and I didn't see you touch on it in the video, but maybe I missed it. If I want to add shapes, but just the outline of a shape, how do we do that? I've got a graphic I drew that I want to cut out in iron-on vinyl to make a shirt out of it, but I'm thinking adding a square outline detail around it would look really nice, but every time I try to add the shapes, they are solid.

    • @AuntieTay
      @AuntieTay  7 років тому

      They just have a color to represent the color of vinyl, if you put them behind your image it will just cut a square around it.

    • @LindaRosem
      @LindaRosem 7 років тому

      I'd like it so the box is just an outline/frame of a box.... not a solid box. Because my project includes a lot of negative space with the t shirt to complete the design, so I don't want a solid box behind my design. Makes sense?

    • @AuntieTay
      @AuntieTay  7 років тому

      It is just the outline it's only going to cut the outside. Just arrange it behind you project and attach them

    gr8 video going to watch others but, PLEASE HELP? i have ? need answers ASAP! I hav some medical limitations; I finally had someone help me set up cricut& silhouettes & I want to finally make t shirts now! My ? I plan to do an outline & layer one color text onto other. as a disabled beginner I know the easiest way to weed & press htv to shirt is to have it cut exactly how I plan to apply to shirt.
    I saw in your video how to cut as shown & how to adjust to save vinyl. But, how? can I line up so my headline text is where I need it (curved & centered) on page top color & have the bottom color stay where I need it & cut in a diff color? top color centered in one color on mat 2 & bottom color layer centered in diff color on mat 1? Sorry if I asked in a confusing way. thanks for all your help. Auntie L

    Hey Tay, thanks for the tutorials. I am running into a problem you may be able to help with. I am working on a project that has 30 pages that fit together like a puzzle. The sizing has to be spot on. Each page, if printed regularly prints out on regular 8 1/2 x 11 paper. When I upload the images to Design Space the sizing changes. I know how to change the dimensions of an image in Design Space but resizing to the original on 30 different images is impossible if you need to keep the same scale accuracy. Is there a way to keep the original dimensions? I chatted with Cricut Help..... no answers there I`m afraid. Thanks for your time! ~Cindy

    Hi! My cricut has all the options (the ones w layers, edit, sync tabs on the top) well I don’t have it on the side the way you do? Do I need a newer update? Did I download the wrong one? Is there an option to have them there? Please help!!! I have a hard time finding certain buttons because it’s not in the same spot as yours.
    Thanks!!!

    My issue is how to place vinyl on the mat because when I print it wastes 6-8 inches to the left

    I noticed you didn't touch on the "slicing" button, I'm not sure what to use it for or how to use it.

    I have the expression 2 machine. I had to buy the cartridges for it. I still have all them and I’m wanting to purchase the Cricut Maker machine. How do I get by without having to purchase them again?

      I think the maker comes with a port so you can upload all of your cartridges!

    How did you get your side bar in the right. My fonts, etc don't show up on the right side of screen like yours does

    I’m trying to create a multi-colored layered iron on shirt, could you tell me how to separate the colors in design space? Is there a way to trace it?

    I just got a Cricut Explorer Air and I am trying to follow you in your design space. I do have a question. On the right where you click edit where it has Layers, Edit, Sync and Canvas but mine only has Layers and color sync at the top and then Group ungrouo duplicate and delete below that ...so edit is not an option. Is there something I have to turn on.

    I am totally not seeing all the buttons you use. Number one, my editing tools are not off to the right, they are on top, and I did not have the tool to separate out all the letters. Can you help me please? When I want a font, I do not see Cricut fonts to choose from, either.
    Thanks!
