Shock selection becomes critical to set these up right. We didn't like how much it limited the ability to use good shocks and went back to a stock style mount. The body of the shocks we wanted to run were too long for this mount to work on our application.
What are your thoughts on the upper relocation brackets? Ones like the synergy or rock krawler? Would put up / down travel closer to wher it was but keep the added clearance?
Hi Ken. I just added the same brackets but have not tested yet. They just hit all the time. But how did your articulation work out? Was more droop but less tuck an even trade? Did you add bumpstops to keep the shock from bottoming out? Longer brake lines are a must I take it. I have MC Gamechangers and don’t want to spend $2k for the MC 6-paks for now. Also considered upper relocation brackets but you say it’s junk. Thx
I meant I have Rocksport shocks with Gamechanger 3.5”. Wondering if 6-packs are worth it in the first place and for the up travel compression with relocation brackets.
@@AllProAutoOffroad did you fabricate a new bracket to drop the shock to the original spot? Any photos? I’m not too thrilled about the loss of up travel and the old brackets are already cut off
Actually the exact opposite is what happened. Shocks bottomed out quickly so we lost up travel and since the mounting point was higher it allowed for more down travel.
Did you try running the stock length rear shocks with the raised mounts?
Stock shocks are garbage so never wasted my time
What is more important off-road up travel or down travel
That's a great debate.
And could be a whole video on its own. Tons of variables, usage and set up all comes into play
Did you have to change the length of your shock . Will after market shocks bottom out

Whats the benifits of this over just running a longer shock? Was it just for the ground clearance?
just ground clearance but you have to make sure your shock dimensions will work with it

I changed back to stock style brackets as the overall effect was less then desirable.
Loss of up travel and overall geometry was crap.

We put stock style brackets back on the axle. They are custom built but it's essentially a heavy duty version of the stock brackets.
@@AllProAutoOffroad Thanks, I may either do the same or go with the six pack shock (although I do not want to)
You gained uptravel but lost down travel. Brakelines shouldn't be an issue.
