As an epileptic for over 18 years after 2 brain surgeries Alhemdulilah. I will say this from experience I did receive a medical marijuana card from a Muslim doctor. Several things to keep in mind is your condition should improve in some way by it's use. For example for a few years my seizures decreased, and for 2 years I was seizure free. I have alot of pain in my skull & I don't rely on the addictive prescribed pain killers or addictive benzodiazepines to calm my anxiety either. If I used them as prescribed I'd be a zombie pill head like much of the west, this is another point. The lesser of 2 evils is my medicinal marijuana. Also when I consume marijuana I don't feel high, My body feels relaxed yet I'm alert. I know my problems are still there and I am the slave of Allah. Because I use only a small amount, It's about use not abuse, & only when needed. As far as the products I don't purchase a low THC product because everything in the plant is needed for my condition, the cannabinoids, CBD and THC (when it's for medicinal purposes and you're only consuming a few hits). InshaAllah anyone with cancer or epilepsy can find the relief they need. I am not advocating recreational use.

The problem with human mind is that it makes a person thinks he is dependant on marijuana for trivial issues to big issues where there are better solutions and other ways to go around them...

You can't be judgmental towards every person lol if someone who actually has disorders like TMJ and pains related to muscular anxiety or migraines from anxiety and they dont use big pharmaceutical drugs which are more harmful for you if u ever do ur own research ull find the facts in sha Allah, but you can not judge a person with that physical condition which they even took advice from doctors and specialists about their condition and the medical professionals lead you to take their medicine prescriptions which is worse effects on your organs and blood and stomach ect...., rather than using a very small dose of the THC oil after taking professional advice. After this they take a mufti's advice on it as well. I'm not saying there arent people who use this oil thing n headache case for excuse to get a tiny buzz, dont judge those who took it for the right reasons and the way what sheikh yasir Qadhi talks about. I took advice from a cbd oil producer, it turns out that even with cbd oil containing 0% thc, there are still traces or a small percentage. thc is of considerable importance, because it works in synergy with the other spectra of the plant. cbd oil is most effective with a small percentage of thc. in order to remove thc from the oil, several other spectra must also be lowered, which decreases the overall performance of the product. In France, the maximum rate of thc is 0.3% I would like to take some for myself and my son because we suffer from ADHD. it is very disabling. I still hesitate between taking full spectrum oil (with a little thc) or broad spectrum ('' without '' thc)

Salaams Sheikh, I have an issue with the councils saying medicinal cannabis can be used on the advice of a muslim doctor. Muslim doctor or not they are held by certain restraints .1) it is seen as alternative medicine and most doctors have an issue both for fear of criticism and their doubt in alternative. or the fact it maybe illegal. As for the alternative treatments what do you mean, those that are shown to be effective but not accepted by mainstream ie CBD with or without THC. or Radiation therapy for cancer that has over a 85% fail rate but is accepted by mainstream? With all due respect to you. You have opened many beneficial doors for the use of medicinal cannabis but closed many because of a fear that people will abuse that which is good. when it comes down to saving a life or not it needs to be made clear that use of a substance can be used with knowledge wisdom and good intention. For those that want to abuse the allowance unless made clear they should be left to Allah. To restrict a treatment that may save a life because it may or may not be open to abuse is questionable. Also the case of homoeopathic medication which uses ethyl alcohol for its drugs. Noting that homoeopathic drugs have far far less side effects than other medications. Can the lesser evil rule be used in this case?
Not all homeopathic medicine is the same brother. There are many illegitimate products that best case it doesn’t work or worse case it makes you very ill. If it’s just herbal medicine such as peppermint or ginger for stomach issues it’s good. But often in America homeopathic means they dilute the cause of illness to one drop per thousands of liters of water so that it does nothing. These are just designed to grift money from those who don’t know better.
It is scientificly not proved that it is a medication, be careful. Also it is used from esoteric, new age religion/philosophie called "anthroposophie" ( schools of "waldorf" rudolph steiner)
@@amelkatrin3464 I don't think homoeopathy can be related to anthroposophie. This is because it is a recognized branch of science taught in accredited Universities ... Moreover, according to statistics from the WHO, homeopathy is practiced in 40 out of 42 European nations. In France, 95% of all GPs, paediatricians and dermatologists use homeopathic remedies in their practices.

@@amelkatrin3464 I agree! .. but if you really give some thought, Alopathy, barring 'it's surgery' , offers very few permanent remedies.. That's true even against simple pathogens ! .. Though Homoeopathy isn't all encompassing yet one need to give credit for the remedies it offers for some of humanity 's hard to crack illnesses! .. who knows, perhaps this system remains controversial due to monopolistic forces that work against it!

Is marijuana that important for Muslims that they need detailed ruling on it? Now I am interested in what the council says about consuming tobacco and it’s products, which is to me, another prohibited product and being consumed in the Muslim world like any other consumer item.
In the 'west' it certainly is more prominent than chewing tobacco.
tobacco was already ruled as haram.
