I have been doing egg business with the 2 wheel version for the past one month, and let me tell you Maina, It can stack upto 280 trays of eggs comfortably, that's basically a pickup na consumption and power ni ile ile... It's real value for money💯
I bought that fielder ya mataa from my mum, after she bought the newer fielder 2 years ago let me tell you that I've never had to do any repairs it's so reliable. But nikiwa out hadi haziezi shika you're always on your toes
One thing about this Fielder, you have to upgrade its wheels from the Japan 175/65/15 to something like 195, 205/65/15 or 215/60/16 because you will end up scrapping the bumps every time you jump over them or when you carry 3 adults at the back and a sizeable luggage. Upgrade the springs with Robs Magic heavy duty coil springs and you will enjoy driving this beauty.
It's okay to increase the wheel size...but don't deviate so much from manufacturer's specs. Putting larger tires has a negative effect on fuel economy due to increased tires weight...also acceleration potential is decreased but a higher top speed can be reached. Tires with larger diameter also increases braking efficiency

I fully agree and relate with the team score. My neighbor has had a fielder for 12 years now, the only time I heard them complain was when trays of eggs fell in the boot and it was all smelling. If it was not for price this would be my first car
I have been owning a 2016 Fielder 1.5 hybrid for over a year now, and I love it! I wouldn't be able to buy any other car that would satisfy my needs better, even if I could spend 3 times the money I paid for it. As for the hybrid batteries - they usually fail after 10 -11 years from new, and then, they can cost approx. €1500 to replace (new battery). Hybrid can really give you over 25km/L if driven properly and does 0-100km/h in approx 11.5 seconds. It does not feel slow. I highly recommend it, if you can stand hard plastics. Just invest in a good anti theft device.
Had mataa ya boot fielder, 1800 cc 4wd for 9 years..... That car was absolutely a joy. It didn't have a CVT & that car was really fast. Although this new ones front end is not so pleasing.
I've been working at a body shop for a bit now and extra tips I learned was if you're painting the door, it's better to take off the mirror and belt molding (the trim at the bottom of the window) for a better paint job in the end. The mirror can get in the way, and if you're unlucky, the clear coat could stick in that gap between the door and the belt molding.
The reason why its most stolen is because its ease of maintenance and parts are readily available. The big space on this means kinuthia can transpot alot of waru's and still be in style.
1½ years with this exact white model the 4wd and the car is still a darling to me! Fuel efficient and reliable only thing ive done is put high tension springs.

Cars here in dubai have actually been misused, dont be so sure the hybrid parts imported from here will actually solve your problems. The fairly used cars here have a mileage of 90k actually most have 100k plus for a fair price. Still waiting for CK verdict on Sonata or Elantra -Hyundai GCC market
I'm confused which car to buy between a fielder, toyota wish and subaru impreza, , with a budget of 1m, , , i'm a muguka pilot and i have been hiring a toyota succeed for four months bt the police are disturbing when they see this car, , , , give me advice wokabi
Hi with a CK, I don't agree with the concept of the hybrid. Battery life aside, the first law of thermodynamics states that energy is neither created nor destroyed. This means that when the battery is charging, the engine will be consuming more fuel because it will be doing double work: propelling the car and rotating the motor generator. The only 'free energy' is generated during regenerative braking which only contribute slightly in battery charging.
It's not that simple as you try to explain: The Toyota full hybrid system is extremely economical in an urban environment with permanent accelerating and braking because much of the time it will go on electric power only or assisted by it and as you rightly say it will generate power while braking or with negative acceleration. On the other hand if you drive long distance with some speeding above 100 km/h the fuel consumption will be roughly the same as with a non hybrid petrol car because in this condition there will be no electric power assistance but also little to no charging of the battery. Here in Europe we have very good experience with Toyota full hybrid cars. I have never heard about issues with the batteries. Taxi drivers love the system and they make 500k km or more without problems. I am about to move to Kenya and the hybrid 4WD Fielder will be my first choice. Most of the time I will have to drive at speeds below 80 km/h and then the system works very efficiently.
I agree with you. About the batteries, you may have an advantage in Europe because your cars are usually new. In Kenya, most of the cars imported are ex Japan which are already used for about 6 years meaning the new owner will probably not enjoy a long battery life.
@@combinedengineering7506 This argument about battery life expectancy also came to my mind after having posted my comment. Here we get eight years warranty on the battery, so taking over after six years appears to be somewhat risky. Another point of the matter is safety. If it's a lithium-ione battery and one of the many cells gets punctured it results in the car burning at extremely high temperatures for about three days which fire can only safely be extinguished by putting the burning car in a container with water. The usual measures like water hoses and chemical extinguishers don't help. The good old lead batteries with much less energy density are safe. The former type of battery I would not like to being exposed to Kenyan street mechanics' work not to speak of a collision on rocky underground where the battery may be ripped open. So I made up my mind and it will be the pure combustion engine. A pity that it's not the 1800 cc any more.
