But I have noticed on this tutorial you barely used water to glue the pieces together, so I was wondering if it's because you used Cake Dutchess's modeling paste. Does it stick to itself without using water and do you like it more than Renshaw? It sure looks different from the Wilton gumpaste. Renshaw seems to be a little bit more firmer and less gummy.

Hi Zoe, another fantastic piece of art. How does Cake Duchess' modelling paste compare to Renshaws or homemade? I have found Renshaws to be quite dry, never being able to blend seams when rolling balls despite adding trex. Cake Duchess' paste looks so soft and supple and readily adheres to itself. I know everyone has their own preferences but you're the only other person to have used her modeling paste. Your feedback would be greatly appreciated x

People dont generally eat them, they are for decoration. If its for a kid though, best be careful and not stick a sharp bit of wood in it just in case.

its made out of modelling paste not chocolate, to be honest most people tend to keep the toppers as a keepsake but I would eat it yummy x

Exactly. Toppers are a keepsake for the recipient. I know many I've made are sitting in display cabinets.
