If you know.....you know! One of the best hardcore riddims ever and a personal favourite of mine. Showed the pathway to Jungle along with a few other choice cuts from that era.
Got the flyers for several Vision raves from Dance Force in Kings Lynn, must've been about 16, a year or so later I'd have been driving and would've gone... I cut my teeth at Dance Paradise at Tiffanys in Gt Yarmouth, seems like a lifetime ago!
That is what I was going to Say!, to this day I don’t know how a human brain could create this sound, when you think of all the genres that came before, rock, punk disco funk, acid, yeah I can really hear the Beatles!! I think this guy must have come from alpha centuri. This tune just blows me away every time I hear it, even twenty years later, God bless
I think Epheremol was Grooverider and Fabio...Basically the godfathers of DnB...Such a sick tune!. The remix with the classic hardcore hoovers sounds was MIckey Finn too.
Simon wrote this track - he was not partly responsible :-) - I watched him write and record it a very long time ago! And that bass line is quite deep!!
According to whosampled site it was straight outta compton, NWA? lool www.whosampled.com/sample/565774/Tic-Tac-Toe-(Breakbeat)-Ephemerol-N.W.A-Straight-Outta-Compton/
If the guy from basement jaxx was part of this he should have stuck with it man. May not have sold as many records. But would have been a hardcore legend This is one of the best.
Went to an all ighter in leeds around 91-2 and the rider dropped this , the mc shouted ' i want to hear some fuckin noise leeds massive' and it just went off !!!
@@timothydunning9982 that little red tape was brilliant. Loads of basement records tunes on it must have had something to do with basement phil in reading
How the fxxck does anyone come up with a tune like this !! I mean what is there reference, reggae, classical? It is so original, it does come from another world, I mean the chimes on the break seriously 😁😁😁😁👌🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩
I was being facetious, I write music and I was raving late 80’s early nineties but I couldn’t have come up with this, yes there are early reference points in early rave, but honestly when you analyse this tune , and try to imagine creating this it is pure genius, well, to me anyway 😆😆
Used to go to Bass Box on Lea Valley Trading Estate, £5 to get. This was massive in there dance till 3am sometimes 4am...Best years of clubbing dance 90 -98
