@@EnnardGarage I tried shiminawa on her. and make it permanent coz the 15 energy doesn't really matter. she still got her ulti up before his E skill runs out. the good news is that 95% of the time you want heal before E runs out and not Heal first before pressing E. my Shiminawa damage vs Crimson on charge attack is like 23k difference. though I'm not sure about the total damage reaction. coz I feel like my yelan is the one doing the reaction to my dendro. and yelan damage is the one reacting to vaporize with hu tao. it's chaotic LOOL
Even though crimson witch has better numbers, shiminawa is very close. If you got Raiden is nice to have a character that can use all the shiminawa's pieces that you will end up getting while farming for emblem

Shimenawa is more centered towards personal/raw dmg for na and ca while cw is team player set depending on reactions. If shimenawa didn't had that er consumption condition then it would have been bis set for many units.
if you are a new player who has hu tao, its more worth farming for shimenawa cause it came with the emblem set and its one of the most valuable artifacts since raiden, xingqiu, xiangling,... can use them too

I just came to see if Shimenawa is viable for Hu Tao and I’m big relieved to see that it is. Thank you. So many characters need Emblem set and I went all in for Raiden C2 on her last banner so she needs more love. Glad I can gear up both my mains at same time now

I prefer shim hu tao. With zhongli and yelan on fav weapons. It's easy to get more than 15 energy after I use hu tao burst. The CA dmg difference between the 3 set is pretty significant. Imo it makes up for the lesser burst dmg on shim
I pulled Hu Tao to have a good pyro dps And the fact I was farming Emblem so she could use it That didn't age well In the end, Hu Tao ended up becoming a placeholder for all my Future Yoimiya's artifs Like man my poor Hu Tao has never seen the light of day since I got Yoimiya

i think we need more information here. crimson definitely outdamages shim, however just not by much and depends on your build. I imagine you don't have IDENTICAL pieces for both sets. So i think showing how much EM you have on top of crit differences would make a bit of a difference in damage.

I reccomend going for shimenawa, because u get eosf in the process that many supports can use, but its really anoyying if u dont have c1 hutao because it will be so rare for u to use E and Q at the same time. I recommend witch if u dont have c1 because u dont have to mind energy recharge and you can use E + Q almost everytime.
Shimenawa for f2p, crimson domain is cursed. All of us have shimenawa and emblem, because that domain at yashiori is the best for many characters. I use 4p shimenawa and it saved me many resins. Crimson is better for vaporize but it's a pain to farm in that domain with lavawalker. Use Deathmatch or dragonsbane for low spenders. Good luck for pulls, enjoy lantern rite.

Only option for Chrimson HuTao better is if you run her as a speedrun nuker at C6 with C4 Ayaka

Guys, as a hu tao main that played both set for over 6 months at this point. USE CRIMSON WITCH! It's incredle how the 15 energy drain fck's your gameplay. There are so many situations where you quickly want to burst with hu tao to get her hp back or finisch an enemie in the abyss what u simply can't and after using your birst your energy is often to low to proc the artifact's set so either u don't use her burst at all to keep the 100% uptime of the set or u use it and basically every 2nd rotation deals way less dmg. And also, this guy didn't show his stats, because from my testing the gap between them on her ca is way thinner then his testing with similar substats. TLDR: Crimson is way more consistent and no downsides, while Shimenawa just have a lot of downsides (either no burts at all or less ca dmg every 2nd rotation) And btw. you can Strongbox Crimson but not Shimenawa
But you'll have to farm the Crimson domain, which is a cursed domain for most people. EoSF and Shimenawa domain is a win win because EoSF is too good for many characters.
And I've been using strongbox cuz the domain is too difficult for me so far sands and goblet is the only piece that I don't have decent stats for hutao

Not sure how much fun this team is because you've no way of survivability except xingqui. I strongly recommend adding a shield unit to your hutao team

Shimenawa is just a lose if hu tao dont have energy and 15% pyro damage is better than 18% ATK because atk buffs only buffs your base attack but elemental damage bonus actually multiplies your elemental dmg

It's much more frustrating to farm for crimson cause half of time you'll get some bs. I wasted week on this god damn set and all I've got that is close to "fine by me" is one flower with perfect stats. Good luck farming for pyro cup and cr damage hat. My Shimanawa rolls are so insane I can't get good pieces on crimson😢 I thought I could use this on her temporarily but Now stuck with it. Ratio: 68 cr 276 cd 30k hp
Why not this for Hu Tao? Crimson Witch of Flames x2 Noblesse ObligeNoblesse Oblige x2 With this build, it will increase the damage of Hu Tao's Burst. This is great for one-shot builds, especially when you combo it with Vaporize or Melt.
tbh i use shim on my alt account’s hu tao and i honestly think crim is infinitely better cause that’s what i use on my main account. it has the reaction bonuses which is really important because you almost always use hu tao on vape, melt, or burgeon comps, yk? that really increases her damage a lot considering how the game is elemental damage and reaction oriented, especially now that dendro is out, a burgeon comp with hu tao works great cause it gives her a bigger buff/bonus than the vape ones. shim gives good charged ark damage, but crim has better damage all around tbh

I got xingxiu yelan raiden xiangling and they all use emblem while farming ive got tons of shimenawa and now even my ganyu uses shimenawa and now it's hutao rerun and I don't have enough resins left to farm crimson I think shimenawa will do for now 😭😭😭😭
Shimenawa is better because it comes with an emblem. What I recommend is to use Shimenawa for the moment and use the artifacts that are useless, use them in the locket for the Crimson Witch
Gilded will always be her most efficient Domain to farm. Shimenawa is great but Gilded has better functionality with her kit overall and is barely behind Crimson in damage. Shim is only good if you stricly want to use her for charge attacks and is restricting to enjoy her full kit with. FARM GILDED.
Shimenawa isn't exactly going to restrict her kit though.. You're just not Bursting as often as CW. With Hu Tao, you're really only Bursting when you need HP back or I-Frames anyways so there's no issues with the slight Burst DPS lost. Also, no she will not need ER for it since she'd be on field catching particles. You're still going to do a lot of damage, as a majority of her DPS time comes from her Charged attacks. I seriously don't get the dumbass comments against Shimenawa, it's stupid. 🤦♂️

So with Shimenawa's you have a small drop in burst damage and a little delayed burst use, but huge boost in terms of CA damage.
And u can do 11 of those boosted charge atk in a rotation and only one burst with shimenava

Bloodstained is also a good set for smoother charged attack. But quite difficult to have its passive active most of the time.

My hutao is 50/273 with shiminewa and 200+ em , not homa weapon, but hp is 24k
With crimson , my hutao is 76/224, 33k hp 180+em
in order to maximize ur dmg u should prefer HP% stats for shiminewa and EM for crimson. so for crimson i advice u to get around 250-300 EM

Crimson is better but when i farmed for yelan set i got a perfect shimenawa artifacts for hu tao that's why i'm gonna use the shimenawa set
my hu tao has 2pc gladiator 2pc crimson witch having a normal atk crit about 22k with primodial jade winged spear im a f2p player btw.

Shimenawa is just a lose if hu tao dont have energy and 15% pyro damage is better than 18% ATK because atk buffs only buffs your base attack but elemental damage bonus actually multiplies your elemental dmg

Really, i want to change my Hutao's artifacts to Crimson, but my Shimenawa's artifacts are already good enough :(
gonna pull on weapon but i’m leaning more towards homa since i have simulacra.
It's much more frustrating to farm for crimson cause half of time you'll get some bs. I wasted week on this god damn set and all I've got that is close to "fine by me" is one flower with perfect stats. Good luck farming for pyro cup and cr damage hat.

My Shimanawa rolls are so insane I can't get good pieces on crimson😢 I thought I could use this on her temporarily but Now stuck with it.

With this build, it will increase the damage of Hu Tao's Burst. This is great for one-shot builds, especially when you combo it with Vaporize or Melt.

tbh i use shim on my alt account’s hu tao and i honestly think crim is infinitely better cause that’s what i use on my main account. it has the reaction bonuses which is really important because you almost always use hu tao on vape, melt, or burgeon comps, yk? that really increases her damage a lot considering how the game is elemental damage and reaction oriented, especially now that dendro is out, a burgeon comp with hu tao works great cause it gives her a bigger buff/bonus than the vape ones. shim gives good charged ark damage, but crim has better damage all around tbh

I got xingxiu yelan raiden xiangling and they all use emblem while farming ive got tons of shimenawa and now even my ganyu uses shimenawa and now it's hutao rerun and I don't have enough resins left to farm crimson I think shimenawa will do for now 😭😭😭😭
Shimenawa is better because it comes with an emblem. What I recommend is to use Shimenawa for the moment and use the artifacts that are useless, use them in the locket for the Crimson Witch

Gilded will always be her most efficient Domain to farm. Shimenawa is great but Gilded has better functionality with her kit overall and is barely behind Crimson in damage. Shim is only good if you stricly want to use her for charge attacks and is restricting to enjoy her full kit with. FARM GILDED.
Shimenawa isn't exactly going to restrict her kit though.. You're just not Bursting as often as CW. With Hu Tao, you're really only Bursting when you need HP back or I-Frames anyways so there's no issues with the slight Burst DPS lost. Also, no she will not need ER for it since she'd be on field catching particles.
You're still going to do a lot of damage, as a majority of her DPS time comes from her Charged attacks. I seriously don't get the dumbass comments against Shimenawa, it's stupid. 🤦♂️

It's true shime gives more CA dmg but you can't use burst if you are using shime

use crimson witch if you prefer doing hiroshima bombs
use shimenawa for constant damage dealing
