- Four-year-old Aniya Day-Garrett died a slow death as her body withered away, according to testimony from Cuyahoga County Deputy Medical Examiner Joseph Felo on the fourth day her mother’s murder trial.
This man is such an amazing person. He speaks so well for that child. He gives her a voice when no one else did.. He speaks words that everyone understands. Such an intelligent and caring man.
Sometimes he shows a bit of emotion, look at his eyes. He needs to be professional and not take side in public court. He is a witness and shall not take side. The way he explained the autopsy is somehow a thing he does on every day basis. He’s really a good witness.
IMO even for him, this might be one of the worst he has ever seen in his career.

My ex sister in law is a cps worker and she hates me just cause her brother(my daughters dad) didn’t want to be in her life I decided to move on with my life with my daughter and she was trying to get visitations it’s her niece she called her friends to come to my house and the night before I had left a pile of clothes on the bed my toilet had been clogged for a month but I had been waiting for management to fix it and they took my daughter away over those things. It took me 6months to get her back and she lost the case against me but damn it was hard to fight for my daughter

The autopsy doctor said she had a stroke. The mother said her daughter stopped walking (and they abused her even more saying she was looking for attention). You have a stroke you definitely can lose your ability to walk and function. What sick people!

Dr did not come to play with this case. He made sure aniya was getting her justice. The way he explained word for word. 👍👍👍👍to this Dr. He did awesome job.

@Jevonte Hodge Nope, in most of EU you will find no government funded education as a Osteopat, it's in the same category as other alternative medicine. it's more like oh your are going to the wowo doctor :-) It's called a regulated profession, they are not authorised by the government. and education is private, and you pay directly, no social security, as it's not evidence based here. It's a 4 year part time study (after work) and you dont have to be a MD beforehand. there is a big difference to the US, where it looks like you have to take the MD as part of it.
I’m a registered nurse and I could not get through this video. I could only imagine how some cases coroners/medical examiners work on they will never forget and are greatly affected especially children. Oh, baby girl Aniya I’m so sorry you suffered your short time on Earth. Take your rest in the bosom of the Lord. You will always be a daddy’s girl.

The mother said in her interrogation that Aniya stopped walking. It was most likely because of the stroke. Instead of taking her to the doctor, she continuously beat her because she thought she was faking. Aniya was getting beat long before the boyfriend came around but he was complicit because he did nothing to help. They left her home alone w/o food bcuz she couldn't walk or talk bcuz of the stroke. This baby laid in urine and had bed sores. May this mother get karma all the days of her life for hurting this innocent beautiful girl. I’m 40 with no kids and here she is beating the blessing she was giving. I’m so sorry Aniya that everyone failed you. 💔😢😇🙏🏽

I’m just confused on how this flew over child protective services heads. Whoever was on this case needs to be investigated and fired and jailed. They have to start holding these state workers accountable as well. Too many times do you hear cps was involved but the child was still killed by the caregivers 🤦🏾♀️
It happens more often then ppl know. My husband been fighting, and been jailed trying to protect his niece from her mother. CPS go to home, the trifling mother tell her to say she feel or whatever story or she will beat her. The child is scared and listen and CPS leaves. SMH. The system is not set up to protect these children.

My friend had her cancer riddled kidney removed and was on pain meds for three months. People around here call DCS on each other over every petty thing. Her child was taken from her, she had multiple changes in case workers, forced to go to rehab THREE times. She went to court and was told because she was assigned yet another case worker, she had to repeat rehab. Her lawyer said the changes in case workers we're not her fault, she passed all drug tests, her child needs to be brought home and it still took almost two years. Meanwhile, a few counties over, a foster child that had been placed with foster parents already accused of beating one child, was beaten to death. I have no faith in Child Protective Services anymore.

He wasn’t generalizing her as “a 4 y.o. girl,” rather, in his own way, he was conveying a clear message - “hey, people, Aniya was a precious, living, breathing 4 y.o. child.
And who the eff ever heard of a 4 y.o. suffering TWO strokes, never mind one. Makes me want to vomit. Aniya’s sufferings were beyond painful. Hopefully Jailhouse Justice will prevail.

I've had pancreatitis before. It's INCREDIBLY painful. And that poor baby was also suffering from starvation, strokes, ulcers, blisters, bruises... She must have been in agony 😢😢

You know I honestly believe God took the pain from her, while all the abuse was happening. I say that because she most definitely would have been in pain. And for some one her age she wouldn’t be able to hold not one cry in. Better yet screams. It would have been loud enough for anyone living next to them to hear while she went through all of that. So God definitely held all of her pain. That baby is finally at peace.

I watched the retired criminal profiler/medical examiner's interview on a Korean show called radio stars once. He said he was losing teeth and hair from stress and has nightmares every night and feared that his family will be hurt by those criminals. He had to face them during trials of murders and many times they threatened him that they will hurt his family when they get out of jail. He retired because he thought he would eventually lose his life because of all the pressure.

I’m a 35 year old woman. About a year ago I had a TINY unprovoked Subarachnoid hemorrhage. Also referred to as a “hemorrhagic stroke”. The pain was unbelievable. It took my break away and I’ve genuinely been traumatized ever since. My heart shatters for this baby. I cannot imagine how she must of felt. Terrified, in pain, confused, and unable to comprehend what was going on. These people are monsters.

MEs are more than doctors. They are translators. They translate for murder victims so they can tell us what they are saying with the bodies they left behind. Each body is like a book that only the ME can read. Everyday they go through the horrors most of us can't face so they can be the voice for those that can't speak for themselves. This man did a beautiful job speaking for this beautiful baby. He truly honored her and made sure the world knows every detail she needed us to hear. He was there 100% for lil Aniya and no one else. He was her translator so we could hear her.

Aniya’s old daycare reported almost 23 cases. The mother removed her immediately after a major one.
Day (Aniya’s mother)’s sisters and brother did constantly report and even Day’s Baby daddy who was trying to get custody.
The SYSTEM and Deonte who was supposed to be like a father figure in the home failed that baby. Till today, I’m still upset about this case

It felt like an endless list of all the torture she suffered and i couldn’t help but think there are other children going through this. Aniya, you are loved! I am so so sorry this happened to you. ❤️

I saw the father made a statement in court. I think she kept her away from him. But not 100% sure. Still wondering how it got so bad an why during this time the father wasnt present. Fighting for visitation, taking police with him to see his daughter, something. Again, I do not have all facts so can't judge the father...

My impression of the mother would be none of this is making any difference to her, there's something missing in her, she has a lack of compassion, concern, as if her daughter was nothing more than a book or a rock- an inanimate object.

I watched this man’s interrogation, in which he claimed the poor baby was “perfectly fine” and all she needed was a lot of rest. Which made listening to this testimony essential. No way could a child be that sick and emaciated and you never “noticed” ANYTHING wrong. Ludicrous. No one could be that blind. Both of them deserve whatever sentences they got.

He had filed for emergency custody a month prior expressing concerns that his daughter was being abused.
