My earlier comment was before I used steam roast (my favourite function!) I now put my chicken on the rack with 250ml water in the bottom and put my potatoes in the gaps around it then after 55 mins I remove the chicken and potatoes cover in foil and a clean towel (just for kitchen use) to rest the chicken while to do the veg. There’s normally enough water still in the bottom to pc the veg in the basket. I then actually use the water too and add gravy granules but not sure if that’s recommended but it tastes good with the juices from the chicken and vegetables!

Penny do you leave the valve open on steam roast.
It doesn't matter Lisa
Why are all the digital readouts and the Name on the device Back to front are you recording through a mirror?
Yes because that would make sense wouldn't it ? Lol.
It was the first video and I hadn't transposed the screen
not sure if Im having a wobble here..... IS THAT CAMERA MOVING
Not you it's the camera mount
@@inthekitchenwithpenn1 thanks a lot.. Great informative video by the way, so much so I have just purchased one. It'll arrive on Thursday. Thanks a lot, keep up the good work.
@@solitaire481 if you like it half as much as I do you'll love it !! I also have the ninja grill max pro . I have used my main oven just once since Christmas.
I can’t see what you put in the pot…apart from the water!
Lemon wedges and garlic cloves
How big/weight was the chicken?
Stuart , to be honest I can't remember but I always tend to buy a large UK chicken
Your cameraman needs more practice.
The readout on the ninja looks strange.
Is it defective I wonder?
Practice makes perfect and it's me .
No the ninja is not faulty , its back to front
The video is almost inaudible.
It has closed captions that may help
Couldnt watch all the video with all the camera shake, was getting dizzy.
It was the first video .
Yikes. I have 3 models of the Ninja foodi, 2 regular and the XL multi cooker and none of mine make any sound at all. I watch a UA-cam chef who uses all Ninja products, she uses the same you have and it's quiet also. I'd contact Ninja you may have a faulty fan, or worse.
@janwheeler87 there's nothing wrong with it , almost 3 years on its still working fine
@inthekitchenwithpenn1 Thanks for your response, Glad it's not faulty, my first one I got I was so busy doing too many things at once I STUPIDLY removed the pot to put in the stainless, (but didnt yet) walked over with a measuring cup of 3 cups broth and poured it in without the pot! Ruined it, so had to order a new one, Ninja says many people do that, they were nice and gave me 50% off a replacement. I love cooking in the Foodi and your chicken recipe is on my list, it looks wonderful. Thank you
@janwheeler87 honestly the times I read they people have done that, it's so easy to forget .
I love my ninjas infact you could say I'm a ninjaholic .
Thanks for watching and for your concerns
LOUD LOUD,,NO GOOD IN A LIBRARY THEN
No indeed but why would one cook anything on a library 🤷♀️
Wow how the hell havnt you got more subscribers .
@Steve Digby I wish I knew
What a lot of noisy faffing about. You could put all the ingredients for a roast chicken dinner in an oven and cook the together. Another gadget no one really needs.
Thank you for your thoughts . I guess the 1000's of ninja owners who are saving time and money are wrong
Sorry your sound is very quiet can't hear everything you say.
Closed captions are available for the video if that helps .
get your camera work right please all over the place
Brian thank you for your feedback but please remember we all have to start somewhere and this was my first ninja video .
@@inthekitchenwithpenn1 guess i forgive you then lol
What is the point of moving the camera all the while! It would have been so much better just to focus on the machine and surrounding cooking area. Also what is the point of parboiling the potatoes? I thought the idea was to cook everything in the machine and save on energy. A very poor video
Thank you for your comment . As I said to someone previously this was my first video using the 15in1 and we all live and learn .
Fortunately others have found it helpful . I'm sorry it didn't meet your exacting standards .
spuds dont look that good
Looks can be deceptive
