I don’t understand ‘why’ other teams fans feel the need to ‘hate’ other teams in the competition.
Especially as the majority of AFL players respect each other as competitors, they’re professionals and understand the dedication the sport requires to play at this level.
Yet it’s the ‘fans’ that take it to the level of hatred which is just makes no sense, rivalry is understandable but not ‘hating’ a person because they play for another team which is beyond childish and simplistic.
Collingwood are playing an exciting brand of football, it’s entertaining to watch even if you’re not a supporter of the team.

How do you play for two hours; comeback from a 28 point deficit to win against one of your biggest rivals, with all the emotional, physical and mental effort that it needs; and then without a script, produce a speech like that? Incredible Mr Moore.

With Darcy Moore as captain and Craig Mcrae as coach, it's almost impossible not to have respect from a neutral supporter. Both seem incredibly humble, candid and most importantly, a sense of emotional intelligence that is rarely seen in the game.

How amazing it is to hear the most amazing and honestly respectful words coming from a young man. He taught every Australian that we will always remember them for giving us what we have and to also remember not just the service men and women of today but to remember the families of the fallen.

I was at this match and several Essendon supporters turned to me (a Pie’s supporter) and one guys said “Holy crap, how good was that speech, completely off the cuff. What an Impressive young man!” Yes he was and yes he is. We’re all very proud of him

@Chris Dryden I "bag them out" because they're Collingwood. Just like I bag out Richmond for being Richmond or the "free kick hawthorn" from the mid 2010s. It's all in good banter and nothing malicious. I only know a small portion of things they do for the greater AFL community which is already a lot.

I love ANZAC day. It seems to be the only commemorative day left that isn’t ruined by alternative agendas or some form of political correctness. It simply brings us together and reminds us of what a great nation we are, thanks to the sacrifices others have made, and still make.
Aside from dawn services, 95000 people standing silently, respectful, and reflective. What other occasion brings us together like that?

A few Collingwood supporters could take a leaf from his book, like that dropkick who wouldn't hand the ball back to the Essendon player. Collingwood are so lucky to have him as a leader.

Theres always one that gets offended by simple things, I thought the bloke not giving the ball back and then Langford slotting it was pure gold. Just classic banter, I’m sure you know what that is?
